Another question... probably easy, but it came up and I wasn't sure.

XY

Y is on elevated terrain, right in front of the ladder needed to reach it. X is at the base of the ladder, Y is at the top. X and Y are opposed to one another.
X does not have Leap/Climb. On X's move, can X move to either of the squares flanking Y?
For now, until they fix it, X is screwed unless he's got some sort of range. I would ask for some sort of house rule to prevent it since it is lame. Even more so if they have Stealth and there just happens to be an item placed there by them in the beginning of the game.
We had this one asked in the past. I still find it lame.
Thanks... I thought that was messed up. It doesn't make sense to me since Y can't threaten X's square... the two figs not being technically 'adjacent.' So, in other words, right now this is a great strategy for placing a sniper. (Sigh.)
Personally I think it should be possible for X to climb the ladder and make an attack.
Know what I mean? Like make some sort of ladder rule that makes it 2 movement to cross a ladder: 1 movement to climb, another to get on the other side.
Stairs are negligible because its a slope. However, a ladder would imply straight vertical movement followed by the actual horizontal movement.
