“Aw, frack - look at all of ‘em,” Garth Ranzz griped. He and his friends were on the ledge of an ultra high-rise on the Earth capitol while Imra Ardeen fed images to their minds of what was happening at an arena miles away.
*Yes, there are more than I had expected,* Imra thought to her friends. *Are you sure we can do this?*
Their leader stepped forward, put a foot on the rail and rested a hand on his knee. The wind blew in his hair right at that moment, and Imra thought he looked not unlike a messiah. Or something like that. It was all just so big for her - what they planned to do was unheard of.
“Don’t worry,” Mekt Ranzz said to her with his warm and comforting smile. He never seemed to lose his head. “My little brother here is just getting excited. Right, Gar?”
“Yeah, Mekt - I’m just psyched about the plan.” Garth was positively crackling with electricity at the thought of what they were about to do. Across the city, the final games of the Magno-Ball event in the Cosmic Games. Imra had been attending to support the Titanians in the games, but had picked up a stray thought from a stranger in the crowd. Having always been particularly attuned to the pathways of people’s minds, Imra could often skim the minds of even the most shielded people. What she saw shocked and terrified her.
There was going to be an attack on the games. A group from outside the United Planets was going to attack the attending heads of state by bombing the arena and capturing the players in the games. Holding the teens for ransom, they would make insane demands that would have to be met - or else the players would be killed.
But that wasn’t the worst of it. Imra immediately sought out adults in power that she could warn, and while trying to tell them, they brushed her off. Carefully digging in their minds, she learned that if the event came to pass, the lives of the players would be forfeit.
“Of course they would be,” Mekt had told her when she found him. “Underagers have no rights and no worth to the fogeys that run the UP. If some group of unaffiliated terrorist spooks holds teens for ransom, they’d let us die to send a message.” Imra had scanned the minds of everyone she had come across before finding Mekt and Garth. Not only were the brothers happy to help her, but they had abilities beyond her wildest hopes.
Now they were waiting atop one of the taller buildings so that she could be away from the bustle of brainwave activity closer to the ground and focus her mind on the arena. The attack had gone through as planned - she knew she couldn’t stop that. Now they had to break in and stop the terrorists before the Magno-Ball players were killed.
“So here’s the plan,” Mekt said as he grabbed his jacket and pulled his long silver hair back into a ponytail. “Imra, you blind them to our approach. I’ll give us lift with my powers - a little something Garth hasn’t picked up, yet--“
“Hey, I’m learning! Just ‘cause you took the brunt of the lightning beast’s attack you think you’re so hot…”
“I just know my limitations, G - and I know they’re way less than yours.” Garth punched Mekt’s shoulder and Mekt shoved him back into the wall with a laugh. “Careful up here, little brother - you fall, I might not catch you.”
“Har har.”
“Whatever - so I fly us in while Imra makes ‘em blind. I’ll slag their weapons while Imra buzzes their minds and G frees the players. We chill?”
“Ice,” Garth nodded.
*Yeah,* Imra thought to them. *It’s just…I’ve never worked over that many minds at once before.*
*Hey, I’ve got faith in ya girlie,” Mekt said, putting a hand on her shoulder. “Everything’s ex-three-six. Let’s roll while the rolling’s good.”

It took only minutes for everything to go sour.
First, blocking the terrorists’ minds to their approach had weakened Imra significantly. Plus, the terrorists’ weapons were bolt-casters - shock guns that were double-insulated, meaning Mekt couldn’t melt them with his own lightning.
When things were looking darkest, the lead psycho was knocked unconscious by a pair of manacles flung from behind. When the soldiers turned around, they saw one of the Magno-Ball players had freed himself.
“Hey! This one’s live!” one of the soldiers called out before his gun was wrenched from his arms and used to club him across the face.
“Yeah, and you’re off-air,” the player said. He levitated off the ground, his hands glowing brightly as ripples pulsed from his body. The lightning of the terrorist’s bolt-casters started launching erratically.
“Oh, sprock!” Garth shouted. “That’s Rokk Krinn! He’s the baller with the natural powers!”
“Yeah, and he’s fracking the polarity on those bolt-casters,” Mekt said with a wicked grin. “Okay, guys - let’s do this!”

Map: DC C - Legion starts at the bottom, the Terrorists at the top.
Scenario Rules:
All Legionnaires gain IXP as normal, save for Mekt Ranzz.
Save the Magno-Ballers! Grab one as part of a move-action and return it to your starting area for 3 IAP/TAP a piece. The Terrorists WILL want to hurt these kids, so save all you can. The Terrorists can NOT start capping the teens until the first one is saved. After that, they will realize what you guys are after and start popping them like candy. No good!
For every Legionnaire that survives (not counting Mekt), you gain 2 IXP that you can divvy up amongst whichever LSH members you want (from your whole roster!)
I guess I can actually take my turn. So grabbing a Baller counts as a move action, which means I have to stop right next to them. Next turn pick them up? Or could I move, pick them up like an object, and move?
Turn 1A
1. Live Wire will move to O16.
2. Saturn girl will perplex up her movement to 9 and move to O14.

Yeah I realized that too in the middle of my turn.
Turn 3A
Let's risk it.
(free) Imra will perplex up Spymaster's damage to 2.
1. Imra will attempt to MC Spymaster. AV 9 vs DV 15 with hindering. Roll is 3, 6. Hit. Spymaster will attack Burkhalter. AV 8 vs DV 14. Roll is 1, 6. Burk takes 2 clicks.
2. Garth will RCE Spymaster. AV 7 vs DV 15. Roll is...3, 6. Spymaster takes 2 and is KO'ed.
I forgot the TAP from last turn and I'll give a IAP to Imra for the assist.

Sorry I'm late with the save: Picking up the Ballers is like picking up an object - PART of a move action, but it doesn't require a stop/start to work.

Ah okay, cool thanks for letting me know. It'd been pretty hard otherwise...
