Reed was mixing chemicals in the lab when a giant semi-transparent face appeared in the air.

“Whoever you are you’re lucky I have a steady hand, one mishap with these chemicals and the whole block would be blown sky high!” Reed informed the apparition. “Wait, I recognize you, you’re Dr. Stephen Strange, the renowned surgeon.”

“I am more than that Mr. Richards, I am also the Sorcerer Supreme for the Earth dimension and I require your help,” replied the image.

Reed smiled, “Sorcery doctor? Surely a man of your intelligence doesn’t believe in such things. How is this projection made, holography?”

“I am projecting my astral form,” explained the vision, “and I assure you that not only is my magic real, but the threat to our very existence is equally real.”

“Be serious big brain,” shouted Ben over the roaring air from the hovering portal, “this thingy is just one of your experiments right? The floating Wizard o’ Oz bit was just bait to get us to go exploring some cockamamie universe right?”

Reed shook his head, “I wish it was Ben, but regardless of my views about hocus pocus Dr. Strange convinced me of the urgency and importance of the mission we have to undertake.”

“But to jump through portals in to another world to bring back objects of mystical importance?” added Johnny skeptically, “If it was anyone but you I’d have them fitted for a straightjacket brother in law.”

“Some times you just have to have faith Johnny,” said Reed, before disappearing in to the portal with Sue.

Ben and Johnny looked at each other. “Now I know he’s blew a fuse,” said Ben, but they both jumped in after them.

They blinked hard. Everything was alien here, there was no doubt they were not on Earth any longer. The architecture, the sky, even the air and gravity were different.

“What a rush,” said Johhny, to some groans from Ben.

“DEFILERS IN THE TEMPLE, TO ARMS MY BROTHERS!” called a voice from above.

They looked up to see what appeared to be winged men circling above, brandishing vicious looking melee weapons.

"Johnny, take off and see if you can keep some of them circling, we'll handle the rest," ordered Reed, his fiery brother in law already a dot in the sky.

Ben cracked his knuckles, “If I can handle New York pigeons these guys aint nothin’”

Is first move yours or mine?

Honor system is A-Ok with me--for the RPSC, at least, and especially with folks I know somewhat. I just posted the link for the dice roller because I can't roll real dice while at work, so I use that and just e-mail the results to myself only. And, I believe that since I won initiative I get the first move(and got to pick the side only because it was a predetermined map)... Although I could well be wrong, you've got more experience than me after all.

I'll post my first move after I get my map all set up, and if I need to scrub it we'll do that.

Thanks for the link. I'll probably stick with Irony tho--just because with Irony I can do multiple rolls at once--for instance, doesn't matter in this case, but say I need to charge someone with Supersenses/Imp, I'm using Blades to attack, and there's a friendly and an enemy PCer... I roll 'em all at once to save time. First three are attack rolls--if it hits on the first, the second is the enemy reroll(if it hits still ignore the third roll), if that misses than the third is my reroll (and if that misses ignore the rest). If it misses on the first, the second is my reroll, if the second misses ignore the rest... If the second hits, the third is the enemy reroll, if it misses ignore the rest. Then there's enemy SS/Imp, if they hit it, ignore the rest. If they miss it, then I go on to my damage roll. Of course, that's one of the more complicated examples, but... I've already had to breakaway charge a blades roll before.

Reed silently indicated for Ben and Sue to move out, Sue turning invisible on the way. He was hanging back to evaluate the situation. "We come in peace. We mean no offense by our presence!" Reed addressed the apparent leader, trying to disfuse the situation.

"I don't think he's gonna see it yer way, Stretcho. Gonna hafta pound some sense inta 'em." Ben called out almost jovially, before Reed shushed him with a hand motion.
