I played a game with a couple of friends last night and a number of situations arose which we didn't really know how to resolve.
So,
1) I had a character who moved within line of sight of U Shazam. My character has Outsiders TA and used it on Shazam. Shazam however had ICWO and my opponent still used it to alter his Attack Value despite being affected by Outsiders. His arguement was that Outsiders only affects POWERS and TA's and seeing as ICWO is a FEAT it was ignored for ICWO's purposes. Was he correct ?
2) If my character has Outwit, but gets Mind Controlled and the opponent uses the mind controlled outwitters outwit on one of my other characters, does the outwit still stand once the mind control is over, leaving my character still outwitted ? If so, can the only way to resolve this be by "Switching" off my outwit, or using it against another opponent ? Otherwise I guess if the mind control ends, then so does the outwit on my character allowing me to use his power on my turn ?
3) Laser cannon. If you have a flyer who has superstrength, can you pick up the Laser Cannon object token and use it at the same time once you've stopped moving, whilst your moving or not at all ? Sort of cheap running shot ?
4) You can regen next to an opponent can't you ?!
That's it for now. Your help would be most appreciated.
G'muff
Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room !

Yes. Outsiders specifically states that it effects Powers and Team Abilities; it has no effect on modifiers provided by Feats and inherent abilites (like the -2 AV penalty from Transporter's move and attack). Shazam! could still use ICWO just fine.

From the PAC:
OUTWIT (optional): Once during your turn (but not during another action), as a free action this character may counter a power on a target opposing character. Treat the target as if it does not have the countered power. That power remains countered until the beginning of your next turn. A character using this power must be within 10 squares of the target and have a clear line of fi re to the target. Instead of a power, you may choose to counter an opposing flying character’s ability to soar; in this case, lower the soaring character to hovering mode. If this character loses Outwit or is KOd, the countered power or ability returns immediately.
As you can see from the bolded portion, when a player Outwits something, it stays countered until the beginning of his/her next turn. So technically, if you opponent used MC to have your Batman Outwit something on Superman, that something is gone until the beginning of your opponent's next turn. Outwit doesn't make any provisions for "oh, but in this case it comes back if you were Mind Controlled." Now, say your opponent countered Supes HSS with Batman's Outwit, and you really wanted that HSS back on your turn, you could do a couple things: 1) push Batman (if you know that he only has one remaining click with Outwit) or 2) cancel Batman's Outwit (since it is an optional power). The problem with all 3 of those suggestions is that, while returning Superman's power, Batman has now lost Outwit and can't use it on any of your opponent's characters that turn.

No. The rules for the special objects state that none of their special effects function when held by a Super Strength character. Toting around the Laser Cannon is no different than toting around any other heavy object.

4) You can regen next to an opponent can't you ?!
Sure. Nothing in the Regeneration power descriptions indicates otherwise (unlike Support, which I believe is causing the confusion). Here, compare for yourself:
REGENERATION (optional): Give this character a power action. Roll one six-sided die and subtract 2 from the result. Treat a negative result as 0. Heal this character a number of points equal to the result.
SUPPORT (optional): Give this character a power action. Make an attack roll against an adjacent target friendly character as though making a close combat attack. Neither character may be adjacent to an opposing character. Ignore all modifiers to combat values. If the attack roll is successful, roll one six-sided die. The target character is healed equal to the result.

I'd just like to point out that you can only use Outsiders at the begining of your turn. So you would have to move to within LOF to the target, then wait until your next turn to use Outsiders.
