"Hey guys.... I think we may be in trouble," Kid Flash said with concern as the Skrull horde advanced slowly.

"Whaddya whining about now?" Guy said, only half interested as he gawked openly at Fire’s bottom encased in tight leather pants.

"He's right!" Elongated Man pointed up at the alien ships. "Friends of yours, loudmouth?"

"Why? Just because they’re green and from outer space?" Guy chuckled, cracking his knuckles. "Not anyone I know, but this'll be fun. Haven't whacked any little green goofballs around--"

"Since your last date," Beetle interrupted. "Let's stop the horseplay and make stop these guys before they hurt anyone!"

The Avengers were still groggy from the crash landing, and what they saw did not help.

Row after row of soulless grey faced people worked at computers, the sickly glare illuminating their dead eyes. All at once the hordes stopped typing and turned their vacant gazes on the heroes.

“They do not belong to the collective, the executives must be summoned,” intoned a thousand voices as one.

From all around men and women in business suits with huge shoulder pads began to file in to the room. Some flew across the room on wires, one had a photocopier for a head, and another had a mail cart where his legs should be and raced madly around the room. They glowed, they stretched, and they gibbered softly to themselves. All in all they were terrifying.

“Join us!” said the executives.

“JOIN US!” echoed the horde of drones.

Cap was the first to break out of his shock, barking orders and getting the team in to motion. “Panther, Thor, Wasp, keep those…civilians away from us, the rest of you come with me. Ms. Danvers, you stick with Thor.”

“No way, I’m helping,” said Danvers in her matter-of-fact manner.

“Ms. Danvers…” began Cap.

“I said,” began Danvers, kicking a large desk so hard that it flew across the room and pinned a half dozen drones to a wall, “I’m helping.”

“How did you?” asked Cap in puzzlement.

“I’ll explain later,” said Danvers, cracking her knuckles as her feet left the ground, “but you haven’t seen anything yet.”

Cap was going to argue but he didn’t have the time, not with those things closing in. “AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!”

The Skrulls seemed to be in a daze at first, but suddenly they attacked in a tight formation. Blue Beetle leapt into action.

“Alright, League – let’s do this!”

I'm unfamiliar with the horde of drones...who are they supposed to be?

Sometimes a drone is just a drone

even with the one with the photocopier for a head? oh okay then...

The imaginary bad guys are no-one in particular, it's all more like something Terry Gilliam would direct...on acid

If you need more direction I was kind of matching roughly with:

Photocopier head = Green Lantern. Make copies, copies come to life.
Mail cart legs = Impulse. Moves fast.
Paper clip man - Elongated Man. Stretchy.
Woman who glows like a green screen monitor = Fire. Too bright, burns.
Woman who flickers like a strip-light = Ice. The light is cold and freezes.
Exec with no face = Blue Beetle. No particular reason, he doesn't have a real theme.

Vance, this is gonna hurt me more than it hurts you....

"Hercules go with the Black Knight. Stay a little back till we assess what they can do. Now Ms. Danvers what else can you do that I should be aware of?"

"Well.. can do this. " She said as she grabbed Cap with one arm, picked up one of the computers in another, and flew after Herc and Dane."

2. Ms. Danvers will pick up Cap and the HO in front of her and fly to J9, placing Cap in K9. (K9? Ahhh ! It's Cap-Wolf!)
