Sorry if this has been covered, but as according to the new rules, HSS is a power action, just like charge. Does this make HSS compatible with quake, exploit weakness, BCF, as are other power actions?

No, it doesn't matter what you call HSS option 1. The important thing is what it allows as part of its free "thing". The free thing in Charge is close combat action, so a Charging character can use Quake. HSS still only allows a free close or ranged combat attack, though, so you can't use powers like Quake.

Not Necessarily. The reason that HSS and powers like Exploit Weakness didn't work together wasn't because HSS was a move action. The reason is because HSS grants the user a Close Combat Attack. Exploit Weakness requires a Close Combat ACTION to use.
And since it still says "Attack" the powers cannot be used.
Nope. The free action given from HHS is a close combat ATTACK. Charge allows you to use a close combat ACTION. Meaning that you can use an object with super strength during a HHS option 1, and that's why you can use BCF and quake with charge. It's all in the wording.

And just to put this out there, all it really that changes by making HSS option 1 a power action is that Avengers/JLA/etc no longer get to use HSS with their TA.
This is assuming, of course, that the definition of power vs move action doesn't drastically change with Danger Room.

Oh, and it won't work with current wording of Unstoppable, either...
Again, not a big deal. At least, not as big as half range.

No, that doesn't make HSS compatible with those powers. Charge is compatible with the powers you mentioned because those powers require you to give the figure a Close Combat Action to activate them (except B/C/F which activates when the figure is given a close combat action) and Charge allows the figure to take a Close Combat Action as a free action after the associated movement is completed. HSS on the other hand, only allows the figure to make an attack as a free action, (close or ranged with option 1 but close only with option 2). That is why HSS isn't compatible with those powers.
