The next tournament I'm going to is a 300 point armies and no range allowed.

The only piece I was really wanting to play is Kobra to use his MC.

And I was wanting no charge/ HSS so I can play Interal Interference Field.

Any ideas?

A good flyer for Kobra to MM to...the new E Manbat from Icons maybe...or Vulture?

If I just want a cheap flyer I could always go with Brood Warrior. . .

Ultron-13 (if you ignore his two starting clicks of Charge). High damage, mid- and end-dial MC,
Support and Enhancement. Wild card.

If you're doing a no-range team you'll want a good TK figure and some charging figures, and I'd plan on seeing quite a few HSS figures.

Ultrahumanite gives you support powers with TK and outwit, cheetah and manbat are cheap damage dealers, and Superwoman gives you a solid brick, plus probability control to reroll blades damage.

MC'ers with a zero printed range are ruled to have a 4 range.

I would seriously consider E Black Knight with Thunder Bolts and Double Time at 74 points. This will give you a HUGE advantage in mobility over a lot of teams. He does have charge but you will only play Interal Interference Field for one round anyway. He has become only of my favorite figures of late. T.B. to GL Team and carry whatever figures you need to get into combat for the next round. Toting a paramedic with you isn't a bad idea either. He heals up pretty good.

Figures with Combat reflexes really rock in this format as well.

Lockjaw is a must.

Any suggestions (please exclude figs from Fanastic Forces and Legacy, as I pretty much have none of those)?

All right, here's what I got so far:

Exp Persuader 114 +Armor Piercing and Damage Shield
Vet Kobra 62 +Protected
Exp Ragman 47
Vet Scarab 30
Rookie Brood Warrior 18
Lian Harper 1
Total= 300

Basic Strategy:
-Use Persuader to copy Mystics or Kabuki (sp?). Destroy any figs with INV or IMP with Pursuader's EW. If he gets in trouble, have him copy Mystics, and deal two unaviodable damage to the attacker.
-Use Kobra MC anyone else that survives Persuader.
-Use Ragman and Scarab only as last resort attack to finish off wounded figs.
-Use the Brood Warrior as a MM sponge/ taxi.
- Use Lian Harper as an extra MM sponge if possible.

I know it's not comic book accurate, but I getting to use figs I have never used before, and I've always wanted to use the Damage Shield/ Armor Piercing/ Mystics combo.

Question One: would this team be considered cheese?

Question Two: any suggestions?

I thought about using The Atom and KC Flash, and two two figs and put Sidekick on both of them, but I decided that would be a little too cheesey.
