Wolverine #41 - Rated 7 - Black Panther asks Wolvie to get a dead African Leaders baby daughter away from the evil dictator. The whole issue is Wolvie sneaking past and fighting the dictators men all while trying to protect the baby. Fiarly decent one shot I guess...
Amazing Spider-man #531 - Rated 8 - Spidy fights Titanium Man and then talks about it to the hearing members thinking about the new registration act. Unfortuantly they dont really listen. We then come to find out that tony hired T-Man just to prove a point to the members! He doesnt want the act to go through but we see at the end of the issue that the "incident" occures where Tony will change his mind. Thus starting the Civil War stuff. It was really good I thought.
Astonishing X-Men #14 - Rated 9- Emma convinces Scott that he fears his powers and if he didn't he would change (for the better?). Unfortunatly we see that all is does is zone him out (and his eye beams are shut off), like a coma or something. Actually it was kind of confusing but eh...Meanwhile, Kitty and Piotr finally get it on! Oh and Cassandra Nova shows herself to Beast, uh oh. Man this is good stuff.
Ultimate Fantastic 4 #29 - Rated 8 - Sooo yea. The whole human race is killed except for Ben. He steals a Skrull protection suit and goes back in time (he wqas the skrull poping up earlier). He sets things right so the Skrull dont come but ends up with him 500 years in the past. Thing ends up sad in the park but meets the blind Alicia Masters! We also see the zombie FF plan to break out and eat everyone in 1 week. And Doom plans to make another move.... can't wait!
Spider-man Loves MJ #5 - Rated 9 - So Mj gets her dream date with Spidy but realizes that trying to date a superhero is near impossible and not all she thought it would be. She later tells Liz about it and comes to realize she does like Peter and wants to be with him. Unfortuantly this comes to late as Peter has just met the newest student: Gwen Stacy. Oh yea! This is gonna get good.
Sentry #8 - Rated 7 - So finally this confusing tale is over. I uh guess that Robert always had psych problems and drinking the government approved potion made him a split personality? Thus The Void and Sentry are born? But somewhere along the line they got split into 2 beings? I'm so confused.... anyways he tosses The Void into the sun. Does anyone still care about Sentry anyways? I mean this mini wasnt all that great and he's done next to nothing in the Avengers book. Eh.
X-Factor #6 - Rated 10 - Layla admits she could have stopped Siryns but CANT because YES she knows things but she won't act on the ones she knows MUST happen. She has the orphange she ran away from come get her but Jaime and Rayne go to get her and find her beaten up. Seems the kids fear her. We of course find out that MAYBE she hit herself to get sympathy from Jaime and Rayne to better ingrain herself unto them. But why? Oh and if she EVER tells anyone how it is she knows things.. she will be struck down instantly. OH and Jaime and Strong Guy track down the guy who beat on Siryn and let him know they are watching him. Awesome sauce.
New Avengers Annual #1 - Rated 10 - The one wedding that MAKES SENSE but MArvel barely gives it a look. I guess a White woman marrying a popular black character just wont pull in the readers like having Storm and BP marry despite seeing next to no history between them. Whatever. Anyways, The team fights a new Adaptiod but thanks to The Sentrys mental problems they beat her. Then Jess Jones and Luke Cage tie the knot in a nice few pages. Go Jess! And the baby stuff at the beginning was hilarious. Ahhh good stuff. Wish it got the press it deserves.
Runaways #15 - Rated 9 - How do this MMORPG playing group hack a cyborg brain designed by Ultron? Oh well, the new Pride draw out the Runaways so they cna get them infighting. They show that Chase and Nico kissed. And try to take control of Ultron jr. In the confusion they kidnap Molly! Great stuff! Want clix figs!

I think so. They should have show cased his powers and abilitys more in the mini, however Bendis has not used Sentry on purpose, hes letting Jenkins tell the story in the mini, get it out of the way. We'll see more of them in the future.
Theres only one Return, and it ain't of the King, its of the Jedi.

I'm hoping when Thor shows back up he kicks the Sentry's ### from here to Hel and back again.
"Un-fun Dad, un-fun Dad,
He's so bad, he mak'a me mad
Un-fun Dad, un-fun Dad
He's a real cad, Un-fun Dad"
I love Sentry but I agree he hasn't done anything since he ripped carnage in half. He has so much potential as a Superman rip-off but he's waaaay underused. What's the point of bringing him back if he's just going to piss and moan every issue.
Civil War doesn't seem that interesting. But Millar works in mysterious ways so we'll see.

Figures they'd finally make an Ultron Jr.
On another note;
Anything about Captain America and the Red Skull having his mind in the Soviet guy's head?

Robert already have the Void Personality when he stole the potion and drank it. It just gave it powers and made it surface, As a balance, his psyche created the Sentry. Seems easy to me. Of course, now they've turned him into Gladiator 2, by allowing the Void to spout of the whole confidence speech. Which seemed a little lame. There's a big difference in someone losing their confidence and someone with mental health issues.
They set the basis for who he is in this series, to get us to understand his split personality. The series worked for that (minus the fact that his powers and level are undefined, to my satisfaction). Now it's time for Marvel to move him forward. It'll be interesting to see if the make him a bigger player in NA, and if that will propel the new solo series that they've been pondering.
1/6th of the Brothers Prob. '19-'20 Season: 15-13(8 events) 2 wins, 2nd XDPS PR 9-7, 7th SOC
Meh, I lost interest in the Sentry mini about halfway through, and just stuck to reading spoliers/reviews to find out what was going on. The Sentry interested me as a character up until all this "who came first?" and "how did he ACTUALLY get his powers?" stuff popped up. I'd rather see him do something, live up to they hype. Develop his character the old-fashioned way, by having him DO SOMETHING! He's supposed to be filling the New Avengers' "Thor" position, and so far the only time he's done anything of consequence was in the Annual....which, BTW, was my favorite comic this week. maybe even this month.

Fantastic Four #537 - Rated 8 - The Doombots keep the FF occupied while Doom attempts to extract what is rightfully Dooms. Doom attempts to lift the hammer but clearly it is flawed since Doom could not lift it. Doom returns to Latveria and promptly Max Lord's the Prime Minister who is in power. Foolish gnat. Ben tries to lift the hammer for kicks, "hey who wouldn't try?". Apparently Ragnarok created fancy time space rifts in Hell and Doom did a half gainer through one and ended up following the hammer back to earth. Quote of the issue was Ben forgoing the usual "IT'S CLOBBERIN TIME !!!" for "IT'S HAMMER TIME !!!!".
Thing #7 - Rated 5 - IS this a Marvel Age title ? It's gotten a little light and fluffy for me.

I was looking for a way to describe my feelings for this issue and you nailed it. I've really started to become a fan of Slott's work (She-Hulk, GLX, and the start of this series) but this series is starting to move towards Marvel Age territory. At times I almost felt like there should be a panel with "The More You Know" after Thing talks about money not solving all his problems.

Oh and the art is unacceptable at this point. It looks like it was down on a napkin with a sharpie. I am a huge fan or Two-In-One and the Thing's old ongoing from the 80's. They were somewhat lighter and comedic then other titles but still had good action packed stories. Thing versus The Champion (Elder of the Universe) was sweet ! And it had a little bit of a "Knowing is Half the Battle" bit at the end but the book was still entertaining and not too mushy.

Agreed, the regular artist I thought was pretty good for the book but this guest artist was a little lacking. It's too bad that this issue came out as they were gearing up to try and save this title. Anyone picking it up would wonder what the big deal was with it.

I don't think that meant he was alive, just being blamed. I did like that issue more then usual though, and Spidey made me laugh for a change instead of groaning with a really lame joke. So that's the second time I laughed reading Amazing Spider-Man since JMS took over. Though in fairness, the first time was just a guard making a joke about Dr. Doom speaking in caps who isn't really Spidey naturally. Anyway, an interesting lead in to Civil War.
And for the few people here reading Annihilation tie-ins, Ronan is following the same path as Super Skrull when it comes to kicking ### and having a fall out with his native empire. It's kinda nice seeing these cosmic characters actually being depicted in an interesting way, though this seems to be the least related to the Annihilation wave.

Yeah, Kieron Dwyer(sp?) isn't good for this book, nor was he good for the Avengers when Johns was writing it, but he gets my respect for make Lowest Common Denominator. that's a funny book, but definately not for the kids. I found out that DeVito will be drawing the Annihilation mini so that makes me really happy <--------see
