Some people say that the Punisher series are mostly redundant six-issue storylines. I dont feel that way. I know that for every storyline the bad guys got what they deserved from the Punisher but I would never consider it as redundant. I may not speak for everyone but I like it when there are closures to my storylines and that there aren't any dangling plot threads like some other titles. I like it that I don't need to read the Punisher series from issue one (although I did because I like it).
I like the current Barracuda storyline right now. Frank is up against someone tougher than him. I'm sure a lot of people would disagree but Barracuda is definitely the toughest SOB that the Punisher has faced. The only advantage Frank has is his brain.

Quoted for truth!
Honestly, I like the way they're doing the storylines
Especially with Nicky Cavella, O'brian, and Rawlins
It's cool to see some people come back once in a while, but with Ennis' run, you typically avoid the Batman Vs Joker ####
Frank puts them down, and they stay down.
Barracuda is so freaking awesome. He's gotta be one of the strongest (I'd say almost on par with the Russian) he's ever faced. I can't wait to see how Frank takes him out (Though, as previously stated, I like Barracuda. He seems like a guy I could chill with, lol)
Impulse - I know what you mean, but IMHO The Punisher HAS to be gritty. I liked how the MK didn't avoid the violence and gore, but it usually gave it a comic edge. The Punisher has to be written as an adult action comic. Otherwise, you've just got another crappy vigilante running around. I am deathly afraid of the Civil War comic that will be starting soon.
I just hope that when the goverment recruits Frank to round-up non-registered heroes or villains, Garth Ennis will get to write it, and should be drawn by the Fernandez guy - the artist before the Barracuda storyline

I dropped this title after either the Kitchen Irish arc, or the SHIELD Agent arc, I can't remember which was last.
It was a lot of gratuitous violence and cursing, with little to no plot which wore me out. I've always liked the Punisher and collected everything of his in the 80's, but this series just did nothing for me, after the first few arcs.

Well, the new series, set in the regular 616 universe, is coming soon. That'd be "Punisher; War Journal" and he'll be taking on the bad guys whom some heroes seem to miss. Who they'll be, I don't know, but I'd love to see what he'd do to some of the classic bad guys. Like in that "Alternate Universe" special years ago when it was the Punisher Vs just about everyone and he took out a lot of the people, starting with Scott Summers. That was beautiful.
Let's see him take out Doc Ock, or the Green Goblin or the Red Skull or those types.

There's a preview of the series in the new Wizard magazine, and they show him chasing down Stilt-man. It's quite funny.

Now that Civil War is halfway through, what do you think Frank feels about the registration act?
If Frank chooses to become pro-reg then he gets to do what he does best without the goverment and cops getting in his way but the downside about that is he will also be hunting down vigilante heroes which is kinda hypocritical of him considering he's been vigilante as the Punisher
