GL Corps #3 - Rated 7 - As I knew back in issue #1, the royal borther was behind everything because he really really wanted to be a GL. Turns out his sister was in line to be the next GL for that sector. Good stuff though.
Shadowpact #4 - Rated 7 - This is really just an issue of Blue Devil. No other Pact members appear. Kind of a day in the life of thing. a fun read but I really wanted more of the other members.
52 #15 - Rated 8 - Renee and Question escape from thier jail. Meanwhile, Booster tries to regain his status in Metropolis but does nothing but get shown up by Supernova. Booster then tries to stop a nuclear explosion but dies in the process. NOW! For 1: AARRGHHH why do they keep screwing with the JLI?!?!? WHY?!?! What next Fire is found raped and murdered? BUT!!! Some say that the way this happens is just a red herring and he will come back. Perhaps he is Supernova? Hhhmmm I won't call foul JUST yet but DC better fix the JLI members right quick.
I tend to agree that Booster Gold... rather, Micheal, is not dead. Well... he's dead... but not dead in comic reality.
Booster flops it. bites the big one, being a hero. Blammo. Now, enter the perfect time to show Supernova truely is a time traveling version of Micheal.
This Michael may be much more intellegent and much more carring but I'm convinced that he is some how a Booster from Booster's future (though now how could he have one?) This is why Booster's little buddy always FUBARs when Supernova is around. He creates a time glich.
Perhaps this is Earth 8's version of Booster Gold? If none of this makes any sense than please forgive me, as I'm writing late at night and while on the influence of sleeping meds..
"Come on Hulk! Where's the old boasting? The battle cries? Why aren't you bellowing about how you're 'the strongest one there is'? Could it be because... you know it's not true?"
"No. Because it's just too obvious."
-Juggernaut to Hulk
I recently read somewhere, that Supernova is not actually a new character in the DCU. He's been used before, in a 70's Superman story. So sort of like Batwoman, he's making a comeback.......
I thought it was a great issue, and was a cool way for Booster to redeem himself, before going out. Now it'll be interesting to see him make his return.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one happy as hell to see it happen.
I'm sorry, his story is an old gimmick that got exactly that, old. And just when we all thought he was going to be written in a different direction (you know, with having his best friend die, and giving up the titles and everything, and being more pre-occupied with taking down the bad guy instead of smiling for the camera), they turned him into the same jackballs assclown that he's been forever. And after being put through FAR too many issues of it, and then getting to see people hate him again, I'm glad to see him dead.
Just like I hope they kill Peter Parker and Tony Stark over in Marvel right now. If you're going to alienate me from characters I might enjoy if you DIDN'T, then just kill the ####ers off.

So, Flash, WW, and Supergirl didnt come out? I didnt get to ask the comic guy at my regular haunt, but they are listed on the DC site.
Oh, and here's the skinny about Supernova/Nova:
Supernova's costume is similar in design — albeit with a different color scheme — to the costume of Nova, an "imaginary story" version of Superman who lost his Kryptonian powers and became a Batman-like crimefighter in a two-part story in World's Finest Comics #178 (September 1968) and #180 (November 1968).
if you read this then you lost 10 seconds you'll never get back.
Yeah No Flash, WW, or Supergirl this week. It was kind of a weird week, as even Diamond's list was off. Maybe Marvel's CW delays are affecting everything else in the comic industry!
Note: Before he gets his panties in a twist..it was a joke #######.

Booster Gold's remains seemed too convinient. In that big an explosion, that skull shouldn't remain, should it? I was glad when Booster bit the dust, especially the way he did, but I'm not sure if he's dead. Maybe faked his death so he could "come back from the dead" as a hero? Or fake his death to enjoy watching people love him from beyond the grave? I doubt Supernova is another Booster Gold though. Could happen, but hope it's not the case, since it would be confusing as hell to have so many possible Booster Gold's from different time streams or whatever. God I hate time travel.
My only hope is that the Big Lebowski kills me before the Germans can cut my d### off.
I thought it was kinda cool that Skeets told Booster bout two crimes for the day... a carjacking and a power outage... and Booster ended up causing them both.
Ya gotta think that's going somewhere.

I have a feeling this is just a fun set-up for a future store. Grey and Green will be back and I bet they bring more colors with them next time. I do agree that it is a bit early in the series to have an issue like this (feels like a annual back story).

They really don't like the JLI do they? LOL This series isn't bad but it is moving slow (that was expected because of the 52 week format though). I think I speak for most when I say the best storyline has been the Ralph stuff. Too bad it looks like we're done with it for a little bit.
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.
I'm among those glad Booster is dead. I hope they keep him that way.
I just got my Secret Six #3 from last week. I laughed out loud while standing at the counter in my comic store reading it. The interplay between the sane members of the group and the complete whackjobs is fantastic. These guys are quickly becoming my favorite group in comics. It's just too bad that Shadowpact got the on-going while Secret Six just got another mini-series. They shoulda reversed that.
Best lines:
Ragdoll: "Mind the gelatin, Blake! For God's sake, mind the gelatin!"
Ragdoll: "Oh, sweet nurse, you'll never know where I could have put myself."
Deadshot: "Blake. He puts hats on fruit. Are we positive we need this guy?"
Deadshot: "Well, I haveta say, this may be our record for most messed up mission ever."
Catman: {referring to the seizuring Mad Hatter} "We'll set him in the barn where it's dry 'til we can figure out what's wrong with him."
Deadshot: "Guy does hat crimes. He was never going to end well."

It seems ever since Ostrander's "Suicide Squad" started, Lawton always gets great lines. Pity we never really got to see him and Tommy Monaghan together. Man, that would have been gold.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."
