Today I played against an invisible girl team who has the FF feat and several wild cards and the all have at least 19 defense... some of them has combat reflexes and E/S deflection... and I played pretty well... I killed most of them... I smashed invisible girl next to death... but then she was healed to new in the next to turns...
wich is the strategy? kill the medics first? kill the invisible girl? kill the hard hitter first? pulse wave ( I don't own noa blast ) them turn after turn with blizzard? supes like figs?
what do you say?
thanks!
I started playing heroclix at a shop... the moment my girlfriend got tired and told me "stop telling me I cant atack because you have I-don't-know-what, and I can't move there cause I don't have that thing"...
The really obvious answer is play the Disbanded! or Isolation BFC
Barring that, you can try to go for Sue, sure. Otherwise, if your AV's are high enough, ignore her and go for the really threatening pieces. Sue all by herself isn't too scary if you can take out the Thing (or whatever it is she is relying on for damage).
Also, Pulse Wave (and by extension, Nova Blast) is your friend. PW ignores all powers (like Defend), TAs (like alt-FF and wildcards), and feats (like Sidekick). It cuts right through those alt-FF shenanigans.
Ok, I personally love poison for this, because you can just poison that damn Sue Storm! Pulse Wave, even without Nova Blast, is nice, since it negates feats(FF), powers, and so on, so they don't have that 19 defense to copy! Also heavy hitters with 11's and 12 attacks work very nicely. I'm sure someone else will come up with a few more things. Hope that helps!
well, two BFC's works:
Disbanded or Isolation
Both nerfs the 19 defense thing.
It all really depends whos on your team and theres. personally i try to go after invisible girl first. 5 damage should do her in. then ice off the rest of the team. this is all the help i can give w/out knowing who's on either team.
One way to take out this kind of team is to base Invisible Girl with a poisoner (preferably one with mastermind and a tough taxi) because she has no damage reducers and if she is based she cannot be healed.

thanks a lot to everyone...
this was my team today... it was very though and did a lot of damage... but I lost eventually...
e black adam 123
v hawkeye from ultimates 73
r joker from icons 78
- armor piercing 10
- ambush 5
R lockjaw 24
r mandroid armor 28
e easy company medic 16
e deo agent 18
e destiny 23

I should try my v blizzard with his pulse wave and high attack and TA... could really harm those FF teams... I could swap him for hawkeye... and have 22 spare points... I can throw e wasp... or dr mid nite and downgrade the medic... and have a nice pulse waver...

One thing I did just two weeks back. I MC'd Sue and then turned off her TA. This only presented itself because my Jessica Drew was ready to MC her Validus to attack her own team. My opponent thught it would be safe to park Sue Adjacent and with ICWO boost her Def to 20. Needless to say I was astounded that I rolled that eleven. That's when it dawned on me that I could nerf all the Wildcards by just shutting her TA off and pulling that Def out of the equation.
This is very situational, but Vet Karma could MC her with ease.

If you have a giant like Atlas you can arm him with the follwing
Shake-off: Ignores Supersense ESD and Combat Reflexes and that pesky 19 defense. (Easer to roll 3-6 on breakaway for a Giant than hitting the 19)
Armor Piercing: Make sure your damge gets through. (Things got a tough hide )
Thunderbolts: Choose Batman Ally so you can be in stealth on hindering and they can't Running Shot or Charge you. They will have to try to base you. You then just shake off again and try to quake them if you like. Also Giant ignore terrain for movement so getting from one hindering to another shouldn't be a problem. Object placement helps as does Deep Shadows BFC.
It's a real suprise and FF players really hate Giants.
The first time I did it I was using an Awesome Andy/Man Thinker team. (Appropriate I think.)

I played a team like this awhile ago, I didn't have any of the BFC's recommended here or an attack higher then 10, but I won.
Here's how I did it.
Chemo with Auto regen, ICWO, Shellhead, Armor piercing, and protected.
Chemo's got a decent range and 2 targets. The AP makes sure he damages everyone he hits, and being a giant, he can see over characters so its almost like he has trickshot. ICWO can make sure he has an 11 attack.
Anyone who bases chemo gets poisoned, if they damage him you can kill a pog next to him to heal it right back up, or burn protected and then kill a pog so Chemo has a 19 defense with Imperv.
I also had lucky dice, but I wanted to present a different option then LAMP or the right BFC's.
Heres another thought. If you can find a decent attack figure with plasticity you could tie sue up with them and try to plink her. With plasticity she'll only break on a 6, so the odds are in your favor. The first fig that comes to mind is the Crimson Dynamo. I'm sure theres better
If the FF character with 19 DV in question does not have damage-reducers via the Force Field feat, then Back Alley Brawl with a high AV/damage character works nicely. Force Blast also works well for knock back damage, especially with high rolls (5-6).
If it is a wildcard abuse team that you are going up against, throw down a Saboteur feat on someone with a less helpful TA and some potential to stay alive for a while. Since his team will be relying on his selected TAs to defend themselves, giving them Injustice League or X-Men should render them easy pickings, and make Sue Storm totally useless

Veteran Cloak (with Armour Piercing) is very good for dealing with Fantastic Four teams. He has Phasing/Teleport to base Sue Storm, and he can Poison her (even if she has Force Field), thus reducing the defence of everybody on her force. If Sue attacks Cloak he has a 17 defence plus Super Senses, and can copy Mystics if she hits. If one of Sue's teammates tries to attack Cloak, he can copy Batman Ally.
Poison and Armour Piercing will help to wear down the rest of the force, too. Mystics also helps.
Ultimates/Trick Shot characters with high range and high attack values can be very helpful against a FF force. Once Sue has been attacked by Ultimate Thor or Fantastic Forces Hawkeye, the rest of her force should be much easier to hit.

Just a thought but if your opponent is trying to wildcard the f4 feat ability then I believe that is illegal.
