So, who's the new team going to be? Let the speculation begin...

I'm not sure, all I know is my wife is PISSED!
It's going to take her a bit to warm up to whoever is the new creative team. This was her "first" comic and she is very protective of it. She and I were both shocked to even hear they were leaving in the first place.
I do hope that it's someone who "gets" the characters and can continue to lay upon the tremendous foundation Vaughn put down.

They just released that the new team will be Chris Claremont and Rob Liefeld.

Claremont I could actually handle on Runaways... if it was 20 yeasr ag Claremont. I will personally go blow up Marvel Corporate Headquartrs if the put Liefeld on Runaways, and I'm betting BKV would gladly buy the explosives.

But here's my main thing...

I REALLY hope they put people on this book that can meet a deadline. I don't want this to turn into Ultimates or Civil War shipping.

You know who would be good? Robert Kirkman. His schedule probably couldn't handle a new book though.

But honestly, Kirkman would do a good job if they gave him a decent artist. Would anyone mind Bagley on the title? I know he's leaving Ultimate Spider-Man.

I don't know... Bagley could be okay. His expessions are good, but I really prefer a more "cartoony" style for Runaways, since it's a young book.

I don't think there's anyone I can think of that could fill Vaughan's shoes. People might come close, but I don't think anyone could top him. It's very sad he's leaving, and may mean I'll be dropping Runaways soon...

Well, it has nothing to do with him leaving Runaways, but it's a potentially cool project that he's working on. BKV's putting out an interesting Graphic Novel called Pride of Baghdad. It's about a pride of lions at the Baghdad Zoo, during the Iraq War. Seems to be his expression about the war. It'll be out next week for $19.99 (136 pages). From the article in CSN, it is under the Vertigo imprint.
