I am not sure if this is covered somewhere?

Are there any special circumstances for tha laser turrent and making a ranged attack?

If I have a target adjacent to the turrent can is still make an attack or does the adjacency/range rules prevent that? Or does that not apply to this special?

Does it make any difference if the opperating character or target adjacent to each if one is a flyer or non-flyer?
