ok so what powers can be used with hss nowadays Im getting some conflicting arguments and would like to settle them thanks!

What are some of the arguments you're getting?

To be clear on some that DON'T work:

Pulse Wave
Incapacitate
Psychic Blast
Quake
Exploit Weakness
Ranged Combat Expert
Close Combat Expert

Superstrength works last I knew.

It works with almost everything (but not Combat Expert, which works with like, nothing).

Which ones are you curious about?

You can use Steal energy, Battle fury, enhancement, probibility contol, super strength, willpower

Does it? I thought it still only granted close combat and ranged combat ATTACKS, which puts a stop to use with most powers.

It works with Exploit and HSS and Charge, so as far as I'm concerned it works with a lot. Or the ones that matter.

Come to think of it, maybe it doesn't work with all that many. Sorry.

would blades and claws work with hss? Also another tried to say hss and ew work, which I thought was wrong.

Blades does not work, nor does EW. (Shazam! got nerfed)

I'm sure normalView will come around and say this a lot better than I can but I'm pretty sure all that works with HSS is super strength. Steal energy would work but I don't think any character currently has that combo.

Professor Zoom would be an unstoppable force of anger if BCF worked with HSS

Take the time and look at the wordings on powers.

HSS grants a close combat attack. Anything that requires a close combat action to work, like BCF or EW, or a power action, like CCE or quake, can't be used.

This is correct.
And here's the reason why. Just wanted to point out one inaccuracy though: Quake is a Close Combat Action, not a Power Action. You can use Quake when Charging, but not during a HSS attack.
