1. As SaferSephiroth said, Lazurus Pit and Shellhead are unplayable on a Colossal figure, per the FAQ. Divebomb, Haymaker, and Slippery can be assigned to the original Sentinal (don't have the DoFP Sentinals stats in front of me) but none would give any benefit. A Sentinal can't soar so Divebombs useless. Haymaker only adds to a regular or giant characters damage, not a Colossal. And a Colossal character auto breaks away, so essentialy they already have Slippery.
2. As per the FAQ, a Sentinal can't be assigned a multiattack that uses feats. So no dual Stunning Blow with the DoFP Sentinal. However capturing has been changed to a power action and multiattack grants two free actions that can be of any combination of close combat, ranged combat or power actions. So you can do two capture attempts with one multiattack.
You can't use multi-attack to capture.
edit- sorry, I didn't read far enough down, it looks like you can.
Why not?
The new Multi-Attack rule states that you can use the Multi-Attack to perform Power Actions. The new Capture wording states that Capture is a Power action. There's nothing in the rules saying it can't happen anymore.
Edit: I'm tired. Let's say I'm just giving the reason you can to everyone.
I had thought not because all colossal figures have thier own rules and the sentinel rules said that you can't. But then I saw that the new Sentinel rules replace the old ones.
Sorry. It states specifically in the Sentinel rules that you can not use multi-attack to capture.
Sentinel rules, yes.
However, the leaked information for the Advanced Sentinels from the DoFP set indicated no such thing. Unless the leaked info was incorrect, or unless an errata is made, the Advanded Sentinel may indeed capture using Multi-Attack.
Here's the multiattack rules from EmperorNortons thread on the DoFP pack.
Multiattack
(optional) Give this character a power action. It can use two free actions against up to two targets per action. These free actions may be power actions, close combat actions, and ranged combat actions, though free actions gained from this power can't be used to activate this power.
Capture
(optional) Give this character a power action and make a close combat attack against a single target opposing standard character;
Capturing is a power action, so you could use it with multiattack, from what I can tell. I don't see why you couldn't do two ranged Incaps per multiattack (Provided that the Advanced Sentinal is a muli lightning bolt character, which he is IIRC), since each ranged attack that targets multipule characters still counts as one ranged action. Same reason why Gravitron can triple Incap.
But MY question is do the DOFP rules overwrite the original Sentinel rules or no? I mean, they've already got the clause in there that Colossals are allowed to each have unique rules. So DO the A-Sentinels rules retroactively upgrade the old ones, or do we now have two sentinels with two different versions of Multi-Capture [assuming Multi-Capture remains an option]?
And moreso, does Multi-Capture now apply to Sinestro and whichever of the Phenixii could capture?
As of right now, no, the new multiattack rules only apply to the Advanced Sentinal. I wouldn't be suprised if the original Sentinal, Sinestro and Dark Phoenix (JGP doesn't capture) get the upgraded capture rules in the next FAQ update (whenever that will be).
Capture
An Advanced Sentinel has the Capture ability. If an Advanced Sentinel has a captive, it can't use the Multiattack power.
So say my Adv. Sentinel attempts to capture Logan while they're adjacent. I'm thinking I can declare a Multiattack capture attempt, so that if my first attempt misses, I can try a 2nd time, but if my first attempt works, then I simply don't get to use the 2nd part of my multiattack.
That does bring up a very good question. Does capturing a person using your first Multiattack negate the second? I'm leaning towards yes. The closest situation I can think of is rolling a critical miss while using Flurry. If the character no longer has Flurry after the click of damage, he can't make his second attack.
