Tangent GL's Lantern shows up at the end of the latest Ion comic, and the Lantern's only power is to bring dead heroes back to life. Tangent GL was a young woman who's identity was never really determined. DC is obviously bringing Hypertime back into the fold, with upcoming appearances by KC Supes, Earth 2, ect.
So, with that in mind... Is Jade going to be the Tangent GL?

My guess is that the Tangent universe (or at least some of the characters) are stored inside the lantern. The cover of the January issue (#10) shows them coming out of the lantern in a stylized sort of way. Those kids with the lantern are likely going to activate it somehow.
Hopefully the characters stick around for more than just an issue or two in the Ion series. The Tangent universe had some interesting stories and I've been waiting for this since they appeared in Infinite Crisis. Plus they'd inject something new into the DCU other than all the new legacy characters (new Atom, Blue Beetle, Fate, etc) that we've been getting.
Edit: I just realized that I didn't answer your question about Jade. If she comes back, I don't think that it'll be as the Tangent GL. My guess is that it would involve Ion and Donna Troy since Jade gave her powers/essence/whatever to Kyle, and it was 'supposed' to be Donna that died in space.
Tangent GL's "survival" into New Earth was shown in the last issue of "Infinite Crisis". I'd been anxiously awaiting to see where she was going to show up - I was expecting "Tales of the Unexpected" - and it was nice to see her this issue.

Maybe the same thing that happens to Supergirl and Power Girl. Cosmic similarities. Stuff like that. Maybe he's merge with the Lantern and gain the power to raise the dead. Omnipetence. Gotta get me some of that.

I thought the exact same thing and that's why I first picked up Tales of the Unexpected. I was expecting that she would be the 'host' of the book. Though I don't mind too much because, while the main story isn't super great, I'm loving the backup story.

I'll just admit it - the backup story for me is the Spectre tale because as a big Dr. Thirteen fan he's the main story I've been wanting to read each time the title comes out.
And I still want a Dr. Thirteen, Ghost Breaker pog with Outwit!

See, the thing is that Kyle can already do that. Tangent GL is actually more like The Spectre, really. Or some kind of GL "Crow."
If That thing gets in his hands, which is effectively Jade's resting place, it's gonna bring her back.

Not that it matters with comic book physics being what they are, but did Kyle absorb Jade's body or was it still there after the whole deal? I can't recall and my back issues are completely disorganized so I can't easily look it up.

Depends on the version you read. One viewpoint had her absorbed entirely but another had there be a body left. However, in both cases the body never made it back to Earth due to the events of IC and the collapse of Alex Luthor's cosmic storm.

Only if hat "Old Lady" turns out to be none other than the Earth-2 Lois Lane trying to get into heaven! I LUF IT.
I still think that Doiby Dickles and Ganthet are one-in-the-same.

I thought that problem with SG and PG was solved after Infinite Crisis was done? They've worked together once or twice now. Did not see a problem.
