okay i keeep reading post about putting sidekick on a low cost fig. with a low defense; with a high cost fig. with a high defense. EX. mockingbird sidekicked to thanos. could someone please explain how sidekick works again. i thought it was the higher cost fig. shares to the low cost fig.

The first character is the high-point character.

The second character uses the first character's defence.

The higher cost figure has the feat.

It shares its defense with its lower cost "sidekick" when appropriate.

oh okay thats where i got lost i was thinking the low shares with the high. thats alot guys.

also one more thing is this unmodified denfense? EX. can some use say thanos's 18 shellheaded to a 20. and then they could share his 20 or do they only get to use his 18?

no, it does not work that way. the lower cost figure get to use his 18 only, unless if the lower cost figure has a CR or ES/D, then can add that to 18 def. provided by Thanos.

I'm pretty sure Sidekick probably says unmodified defense. Though I could be wrong.

But you always share your un modified stats for those types of things, whether it be Atk, Def, or credit rating.

From the sidekick card:

Choose two characters: The first character must have a point value at least twice that of the second character. The two characters must be adjacent in order to use this feat. Neither character may carry the other.

(Optional) The second character uses the first character’s defense value instead of its own when it is attacked by an opposing character.

Looks like it will work to me. Including ICWO since it lasts a a whole round.
Shellhead + 2 + ICWO +1 = + 3 to Def

I wrote an errata for Sidekick after it was released... the character shares it's unmodified defense.

The errata should be in the DC E&C document.
