Today I found a new store in my town where some guys were playing... I stood there watching and I ask them if they play every saturday... and they said yes... so I will go next week to play with them...
they were playing strictly non themed teams... in a 500 points match... both have a big point figure ( gaunthlet / graviton )... a tker... a PCer.. an outwitter... and second string attackers...
regarding the non themed issue... here is very difficult and expensive getting clixs... so it's almost impossible to see a different themed team every week... and the common thing is to hae some pit crew and some attackers without theme...
I haven't played wthout feats for a while... so I want to know what to look for in a team without feats or BFC...
I was thinking in a big point swarm team with 3 or 4 range attackers and 1 or 2 close combat attackers with charge... plus a tker... some perplex and PC... what do you think? I'm looking for MoE TA... to copy with marvel boy in order to TK 4 turns in a row...
thanks!
I started playing heroclix at a shop... the moment my girlfriend got tired and told me "stop telling me I cant atack because you have I-don't-know-what, and I can't move there cause I don't have that thing"...
Well....If your sold on MOE(not a favorite of mine)...I would look for a better and cheaper tk'r. Something with 4+ clicks of tk and 50 or under points. Guess I would go with r Cosmic Boy or v Super Ape...both wild cards. Again...not a fan of MOE fig's...so to give the ta to your tk'r...maybe e Shocker. He is good for the points. Or you could try to get your perplex on the fig too with the old U Enchantress. Other MOE fig's I might consider:
U Baron Zemo
R Kang (SN)
V Klaw
V Bulldozer
LE Elliot Franklin
V Thnderball
E Kang (SN)
Oh....r Fixer is MOE and starts with outwit. No MOE fig starts with pc, but e Beetle has 3 click of it at the end.
But I would try to get by as cheap as possible for your tk and MOE.
Then load up on your heavy hitters.

good trades

also if you feel like putting in a medic, i would go with the xorn unique... with the new rule of no healing beyond a 4 you can use that card that makes you heal your damage instead... automatic best healer
Thanks for yout advices!!!
I came up with this team... again non themed cause as I saw... they do not play themed...
r kang
v blackfire
v hawkeye ( ultimates)
v cheetah ( icons)
le dagger
e hawk
r marvel boy
e destiny
r con artist
e paramedic
pog lian harper
499 points... can tk 4 turns in a row... and I can heal marve boy or kee puchin him until that 17 DV with defend...

One of the best MoE figs is R Executioner that is until R Kang came out (point wise of course)
To add to the discussion, swarm teams are great especially when the person you play against have one staple fig and build around it. 3-6 range figs, 2-4 close combatants, outwit, perplex, stealth, incap, psy blast. The list can go on and on.
I like to have atleast one barrier fig on my team, barrier is so underated - it is really an awesome power. You can protect yourself or tie up your opponent's big piece. Even separate a medic or a perplexer from someone.
One of the cheapest Psy blast figs is V asp, and with her TA she can get anywhere, has stealth for protection and hit right through those Defenses.
For close cheaper hitters - Karnak, Iron Fist REV, R She-hulk, KaZar, Clayface, R Katana, or Starter Spidey/ V Ult Spidey/ R Sin Spidey w/ pounce(sorry I forgot no cards).
The skrulls are great for tieing up people - use the R and push to his second click w/ combat reflexes, stealth, and blades claws. Or the E who has super strength, plasticity, and shape change, let alone the TA which has worked well with me. Remember you have to chant for the 6.
New best support piece is R Tessa/ E Sage - enhancement, prob, perplex, outwit. R Black Panther still one of the best outwitters in the game, but don't forget Icons starter Batman or R beast from Ult nice leap/climb outwitter, mobility is key.
Tk is always good but you don't always need it, especially when swarming all you need is a couple of flyers and carry your figs, give your opponent something to worry about. I look at clix like a very fun chess game, distract your opponent make them think your going to do something else, that's why swarms are great because you have so many options which can be deceiving.
pieces for mobility any transporter most commonly used - lockjaw. Cheap taxis - R Fire, JLA and free move, I personally love the V hive troopers.
Range figs for cheap - V havok, U cyclops IC, R Warmachine, R Surfer, Hawkeye, any of the archers actually, R Kang, and blah blah blah.
Swarms are fun and annoying, sorry for the long post you said it's been a while and were looking for tips for building. I hope you find what you like and have fun.
Thanks a lot!!! that was a great post!
rep for you...

In a game of 300 points or less, you should try to have at least one character that has at least a 50% chance to hit a defense value of 18. Once the points go above 300, you should plan to have a character with at least a 50% chance to hit a 20 defense value or more.
This means that you probably want to have someone on the team with an 11 attack value, but you can circumvent this with Perplex, or other modifiers.
You also want mobility (fliers, Transporters, TK) and preferably some form of move+attack.
These are the starting points for most (non-theme) teams.
