This Doom isn't bad, he has his patented wild-card ability and I like the multiple clicks of outwit upfront.

One downside to him though is he only has a range of 6. Thankfully, he does start with stealth to help him move in close, and with his steady attack he'll rarely miss.

Try to slip him close to the opponent's support figures and take advantage of his twin Energy Explosion, then go after the bigger fish.

If things go bad, phase into a protected area on the map and then regenerate in safety.

I like the sculpt and the dial, but I don't think it's all that comic-accurate. If anything, I think he probably should have had up front RCE and more mid-dial Outwit.

Still though, a very interesting piece and one that shows a lot of prospect.

My only ONE beef with the figure is the 6 range. I think he warrants at least an 8.

Though good for his points, I think he should have been even better. This version of Dr Doom had a suit of adamantuim armor 100 years more advanced than the current one after all.

Doom + Sneak feat card = more fun

Let me get this straight. Doom goes forward in time and gets beat down because his armour isn't tough enough. So he remakes his armour so he is more powerful. In Klix terms he gets weaker? I don't get that one.

Ugly figure! Nice late dial abilities, and great AV down the dial.

He's Good! Is he 150 points Good? Probably. The sculpt is great, but not very Dynamic (but honestly he still has a a great "Doom" pose)

Short Range may hinder his usefulness, as could the modest to chump-like Defense Values. But he's not a bad inclusion in even a 300 point team.

that wildcard TA is excellent for helping out his poor DV, which is really his only shortcoming. He's got great offensive ability, and honestly 6 range isn't that bad. I've played him with Nanoarmor (hey, his picture's on the card) and Auto-Regen, and my opponents went into convulsions.

Great joy to play...infinitely featable...but far more fun than Clobberin Time Doom (which yes, is far better, but rather cheesey and boring me thinks)

Just wish the sculpt was a bit better

I haven't read much of the 2099 comics so I dont know how accurate he is. But I do know this, save for the 6 range, this Doom is the best (the CT Vet has been dethroned).

Love the Dial, hate the sculpt. Actually, the sculpt isn't really the problem. But WHY DID THEY PICK THE UGLIEST VERSION OF HIS 2099 ARMOR!? THE Silver and Blue armor was SOOO MUCH COOLER! Oh well.

That 6 range is holding him back from being truly awesome.
