It was only moments before Element Lad had retracted the protective mineral shell from the Legionnaires drifting in space. Immediately, Wildfire was calling out to their leader.

“Cos, I’ve got a massive energy spike on Kharida.”

“Brainy, what the frack is going on?” Cosmic Boy said through the communicator to the Legion’s team on the planet. “Everything’s cleared out up here, Wildfire’s reading energy pulses, and you haven’t checked in for too long.”

“You’d best come save us,” came Brainiac 5’s voice. “Your little stunt up there just woke up the true enemy.”

“We’re on our way,” Cos said, knowing better than to try and get an answer from his elusive teammate. It wasn't worth arguing the point that his 'stunt' had been the only way to do the very thing that Coluan had told him was the highest priority. He’d heard Brainy’s tone and knew it was best to just hurry down and see for himself. Explainations would come later.

“Come on, guys and girls - we’ve got Legionnaires to save.”

Brainiac 5 and the Espionage Squad hurried as fast as they could from the secret base of the Legion of Super Villains. Returning to the surface of the planet, they felt tremors through the ground as if a huge earthquake had begun.

“What is happening?” came the call from Cosmic Boy as the rest of the Legion arrived.

“Brainy created a malicious program,” Invisible Kid said. “Some kind of super-AI to run all his long-term experiments and long-form problems for him. It got testy, so he tried to destroy it, but it apparently escaped into the grid before that and has been rigging this whole LSV sprock just to mess with us and disrupt galactic politics while it built itself an army.”

“Wait-- just slow down, Lyle,” Cos said, waving his hands. “A renegade AI is using the bad-Legion as its army?”

“No, idiot!” Brainiac shouted. “They were part of its ruse! All organic matter is anathema to it, now. I’ve read its code, I know its plan.”

*How?* Saturn Girl asked, growing frantic as the earthquake intensified. Where the underground base of the Legion’s enemy was buried, a deep crater began to form. Something was moving beneath the surface of Kharida.

“Yeah, you didn’t have enough time with that central computer,” Invisible Kid pressed.

“It wanted me to know. It doesn’t think we can stop it, and wanted me to see its master plan. When you detonated that debris in space, Computo drained the energy into collectors it had seeded on the planet and in space. You provided enough energy to fuel it and its army, while simultaneously removing its pawn-Legion from the board.”

Then, from the ground came a rumbling as something massive began to rear up from underneath. Shining steel could be seen, and then glowing eyes. The skeletal face of the machine was ghastly to behold, but its sheer size was terrifying.

“It’s Computo,” Brainiac said, surprisingly calm, now. Smaller droids dropped from where they were attached on the exterior of the giant mechanical monster. As they fell, their shells retracted and they took attack form. Intentionally inhuman, they were clearly lethal and attacked immediately. The Legion was desperate to defend themselves, and in the first wave alone several of their number fell.

Scenario Rules:

 At the beginning of the Second round, a blinding flash of light appears and Supergirl hurtles through to the planet. She is disoriented, and can’t act (or be targeted by an opponent) until the following round. Supergirl may be placed anywhere on the Legion’s half of the map.

 Regardless of how the game goes, Computo can not be captured. He can, however, use the Sentinel rules to capture Legionnaires. Bad thing, that. Do try to prevent it, eh?

"Brainy, how are we supposed to fight that?" asked Rokk as he looked at the monstrous size of the robot.

"I will have a plan shortly," stated Brainy.

"You mean you don't already have one?" asked Rokk incredulously.

"We are dealing with a Super AI computer," stated Brainy. "I am going to have to plan knowing that he knows what I know since I created him."

"Ah, forget it, let's just frag it!" yelled Wildfire.

"Well we'll go with Wildfire's plan to help distract it while you come up with something, but it better be fast," said Rokk. "I'm not sure how long we can hold out. So let's move out, Legionnaires!"

The cold emotionless voice seemed to echo throughout the landscape.

"CREATOR, I/WE HAVE ARRIVED, AND SOON IT WILL BE TOO LATE FOR YOU TO STOP ME/US."

The Legionnaires could make out some movement on the horizon, but Khardia's murky landscape made it hard to discern.

"CREATOR, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE ABANDONED ME/US. THAT WILL PROVE A MOST FATAL ERROR."

There was a rumbling sound to the Northeast, and a figure several stories tall rumbled into view, it's visage concealed by the semi-darkness.

"Oh my sprock! Brainy, is that Computo?"

"Only if we're lucky."

As the Legionnaires stared grimly at the approaching robots, a flash of light appeared in the sky?

"Look, what's that in the sky?" asked Kid Q. "Is it a meteorite?"

"It doesn't look like it, is it debris from the ship's we destroyed?" asked Garth.

"No, it...it looks like a person!" said Rokk.

"It IS a person," stated Imra. "I can feel her mind. She's confused...disoriented."

"And heading this way!!!" yelled Wildfire. "Incoming!"

Legionnaires dove and flew up to avoid the human missile as it crash landed and created a crater, easily 5 times its size.

"No one could've survived that," whispered Kid Q.

"Uhhhh, where am I?" said a voice from within the crater.

"Um...apparently SHE can," said Garth awestruck.

"Who is she?" asked Wildfire..

"We'll have to worry about that later, Brainy see if you can tend to her, the rest of you, we have some killer robots to deal with," said Rokk.

There was an immense rumbling sound as an form so immense it blotted out the stars above arose on the battlefield. It moved impossibly fast for something that big. It reared ito view and fired upon the dumbstuck Legionnaires before retreating back into the darkness.

Garth blinked.

"I... I think it missed."

"Don't be so sure," Tasmia motioned back to the base of the building on which they stood, where Jasmin was nursing her woulds.
