Ok....here is the meat of the cards and rules: FASTBALL SPECIAL FEAT
Choose two characters; if one of them is KOd before this feat is used, remove the feat from the game.
Give both characters a power action when they are adjacent: The first character must have Super Strength and the second character must be grounded and have Toughness and may not have a damage value higher then 3. The first character makes a ranged combat attack against a single opposing target within 6 squares. Place the second character in any square adjacent to the target to which the first character has clear line of fire. If the attack succeeds, the second character deals the damage. Remove the Fastball Special from the game after the attack resolves. Prerequisites:
Chosen characters must have the same team ability printed on their bases; see feat text. Page 46 of Danger Room rulebook:
If a feat modifies a character’s attack value, defense value, or damage value, apply any modifications to those combat values during the attack before the attack roll, but after applying any replacement values.
Ok, I am little confused here...Can the Batman Enemy/Sinister Syndicate pieces SHARE their AV when using this card???
1. They are adjacent
2. It 'appears' the FBS attack roll is after the teammate is moved...although this is not spelled out.
3. The next line states that IF THE ATTACK IS SUCCESSFUL...which is worded as the next mechanic of the feat...implying again that this is after the teammate has been moved...but is very vague.
4. The rule book states that REPLACEMENT values come afterwards
5. What is the timing and are the Teammates using the card considered ADJACENT during the attack roll?
I hope this works...as anything that could make Fastball Special a little more useful would help
: Before the attack roll of any attack made by a Sinister Syndicate team member, the
team member may replace their attack value with the unmodified attack value (including a replacement
attack value) of any adjacent friendly Sinister Syndicate team member.

It works that way you hope it would. The text of FBS puts the steps in order for you so first make the RC Attack, then place the "ball" in a legal square and finally, if the RC Attack was successful, the "ball" deals damage to the target.

As you noted from the rulebook, the modifiers for FBS get applied after replacing the AV using the BatsEnenmy or SinSyn TA.
Hope this helps.

I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries....now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.
I think a long time ago it was ruled that you COULD NOT fastball special a teammate holding an object. So the next best thing is to have a teammate that has CCE or BCF's.
I prefer Bane...He can give his teammate a 10 AV then +2 from the feat...he will then hit for 3+1 from the feat...and provided he doesn't get popped too much he should be able to deal 4 or 5 clix with CCE on the following turns!!

Correct. This is specified in the Marvel Heroclix Errata&Clarifications document, btw.

Bane and Clayface make a nice FBS teamup as they both meet the prerequisites for most of their dials. Or you could use V Blockbuster and Outwit the opponent prior to the pitch...

Me? I've got a different problem. I feel like I live in a world made of cardboard. Always taking constant care not to break something. To break someone. Never allowing myself to lose control, even for a moment, or someone could die. - superman JLU Destoyer
