Anyone know where this issue fits in?

It's supposed to be post Infinity Gauntlet, but aside from that, I can't tell. There's no mention of the Magus or the Watch. A decent read, but for a series that depends on continuity to exist I was hoping for a tiny bit more exposition.

Actually the key in the timing was Reed mentioning he got the Power Gem from Shulkie who took it from Titania. That was the end of the She Hulk limited series recently before it went to an ongoing, so the timing on this is within the last year or so.

And yes, I get the screaming willies when I think of some of the members of the Illuminati holding the gems. Yipe!

I hated this issue. If it takes place in the past, it doesn't fit with Adam Warlock. If it's somewhat Modern, it doesn't make sense either, becuase the last thing we knew, if this is "Within a year" Galactus had hte Gems in the Thanos series.

That and what took Thanos a whole trade to do Reed could do in an issue? Bah!

Reed had gathered the first three of six gems sometime prior to the issue, and he only got the others so fast with the help of the Illuminati.

I liked the issue, kinda. Bendis needs to show how the in the world the gems were taken away in the first place (since Galactus had them, oops). I'm sure he's aware of this, but whatever. While it's a good story it really needs alot of follow up.

I liked when Xavier randmly turned into a baby. Iron Man with the reality gem makes me think of how important the Illuminati is Iron man despite CW refrains from using the reality gem hahaha theres no connection or is there maybe when he was talking about more fun he gonna bust out the reality gem and rule the world!!!! Any way the issue was good

I think thats how it goes.

Reed and Namor's are reversed. Reed has Power since that is the only one that he is known by people outside the Illuminati to have (specifically, She-Hulk since she gave it to him.)

Look at that panel closer. They are all de-aging. Black Bolt is also very young and Namor looks to be in his teens. Iron Man we obviously can't see. And in the previous panel, Reed is quite old.

That's close. Namor and Reed are switched; in that Namor has the Time gem and Reed has the Power gem.
