A peek at Dark Flash2099's profile tells us he is a 22 year old college student from La Crosse, Wisconson.
When did you start reading comic books?
DF2099: In 1987 at the rip old age of 3.
What or who got you started?
DF2099: Just seeing my brother's huge collection of Marvel Comics.
What do you like most about comic books?
DF2099: I like the larger than life characters and stories
Least?
DF2099: Probably how dark/political/repetitive comics have gotten lately. Sure, The Watchmen was a great series, but I don't want to read it all the time. I want something different.
What is your favorite title?
DF2099: At this moment, probably Green Lantern.
Why?
DF2099: It's serious but fun. It's Hal Jordan at his best, that John Wayne/Jack Burton (Like the Big Trouble In Little China reference?) "Circle the wagons, put the kids to bed, and if I'm not back by morning, call the President" type character that he needs to be.
Who is your favorite/least favorite comic character?
DF2099: I do't even have to think about this one. My Favorite is Kyle Rayner. My least favorite, though, is probably Jessica Jones.
Why?
DF2099: Well, for Kyle Rayner, I can easily put myself into his shoes. I can easily think, yeah, that's pretty much how I would have acted/done things. For Jessica jones, though, I don't know why. I just cringe whenever I see her.
If your favorite comic book character is a hero, who is your favorite villain? If it’s a villain, who’s your favorite hero?
DF2099: My favorite villain is probably old school Venom. Not the 90's "Lethal Protector" Venom. I mean the Venom that stalked Parker and would show up at the worst times just to play mindgames with Pete.
Why?
DF2099: There's just something that's really kind of creepy and scary about the thought that someone that has an amped up version of your powers hating you with every ounce of their being and knowing who you are behind the mask and where your friends and family live.
What is your favorite/least favorite hero team?
DF2099: The JLA is probably my favorite. I mean, they're the big guns. They're the heroes that everyone counts on when the world (and sometimes the universe) is falling down around them. Conversely, I'm not a big fan of JLAntartica. I like funny comics and fun teams, but there's a big difference in laughing because it's funny and laughing because it's pathetic.
Villain team?
DF2099: Flash's Rogues Gallery, no doubt. They're like a messed up family business. I can't really think of a villain team I don't like.
Why?
DF2099: I believe I already answered this one when you asked the teams that I liked.
Who is your favorite/least favorite comic writer?
DF2099: My favorite is probably Grant Morrison. Least favorite is either Ellis or Ennis.
Why?
DF2099: I love the way GM writes characters. If he's given free reign, he can come up with the craziest stuff. He can reinvent old ideas and make them work for today's readers. Ellis and Ennis, though. Ellis I think is just too pretentious while Ennis just writes for shock value.
Who is your favorite comic artist?
DF2099: Probably Ed McGuinnes
Why?
DF2099: He nails that Saturday morning cartoon feel.
How many comics do you read on a monthly basis?
DF2099: 8.
How much do you spend on comics monthly?
DF2099: About $25 a month.
About how many comic books do you own?
DF2099: A lot. Let's just leave it at that, mm'kay?
What is your favorite comic era- the Golden Age (1930’s-1950’s), the Silver Age (1950’s-1980’s), or the Bronze Age (1980’s to present)?
DF2099: Probably the Bronze Age, just because it's what I know best.
What changes would you like to see in the comic book medium?
DF2099: Honestly, it could be less dark. Sure, some darkness to stories is ok, but if overdone, it just screams "Trying too hard."
What is more important to you: good stories or continuity?
DF2099: Good stories.
Why?
DF2099: I'd read comics for the stories, not the continunity. Is a clear continunity good? Yes, but if it causes good stories to not be told, then I'd rather have the good stories.
Do you only read comics from one company?
DF2099: Nope. I read both DC and Marvel.
Pitch 5 comic series, Graphic Novels, or trades to members of HCrealms.
DF2099: Five series/GN, Trades, eh? Alright, let me see if I can come up with some.
JLA: The Obsidian Age books 1 & 2
The Flash: Terminial Velocity
Essential X-Men Vol. 5
The Death Of Captain Marvel
Green Lantern: Emerald Knights
What is your favorite comic-related movie to date?
DF2099: The Crow
If you watch comic-related cartoons, which has been your favorite?
DF2099: JLU
What do you like about the comic forums of HCrealms?
DF2099: You know, I haven't really thought about that. I like the atmosphere and how no matter ho much someone hates a character that you like you'll find someone else that likes them as well.
What do you dislike?
DF2099: Some people can get a little fired up at times, especially when the DC/Marvel debate comes up.
How can HCrealms improve the comic forums, to better suit the needs of the comic book readers who used the site?
DF2099: I think it's pretty good right now. I can't really think of anything.
What would you like HCrealms comic readers to know about you, in regards to you as a comic reader/collector?
DF2099: Uh, well, I really like fun stories. You know, like how a lot of the 5th week events are (JLApe) or like how Peter Parker: Spider-Man used to be to Amazing Spider-Man.
Thanks Dark Flash2099!
Stay tuned for more interviews!

Good call on the current Green Lantern series. It does have that old-school bigger than life feel to it. And that's just the way it should be with Hal.
Flash Rogues are some of the coolest villains. Johns really nailed them in his run on the series.
Definitely a good recommendation with The Death of Captain Marvel. Of course, if you haven't read it then you don't realize just how lame it was to bring him back.

The only reason that I was able to read it was because it's in my brother's old comic book collection and I remember actually tearing up at the end because it was just a strong emotional moment.
Proud to be Straight Edge
In the time it takes you to read this, I'm hitting on your sister. If she doesn't take the bait, I've got your mom on hold.
