Welcome to the all new My Comics 2.0!!! Completely compatible with the old MY Comics!! Now enhanced with all new er... stuff!! To keep it competitive with other ah... spoiler stuff in the coming years!
X-Men #197 - Rated 7 - The team heads to Cables island to get Rogue treatment. Mastermind discovers shes has a psychic presense in her that tells Cable that some badness is coming to Earth. Uh oh! The art is gravy as usual.
Ultimate Power #4 - Rated 6 - So half the issue was talking that concludes with Thor using his godlike powers to travel to the other diminsion. Meanwhile, Reed can't figure out how the alien thing got there. As it turns out it might be Nick Furys fault...
Amazing Spider-Man #539 - Rated 7 - Yea Spidys all mad and puts on his black costume so he can go kick some arse. Meanwhile, May is in a coma and might die. Eh... needed to be longer or something. I'm sure next issue will be all action. This was all build up.
Runaways Saga #1 - Rated 7 - A recap of the whole series from Mollys PoV. Get it if you want to get in Runaways for Whedons run, or are just a diehard Runaways fan. OH yea, the art was to cartoony.
X-23 Target X #4 - Rated 8 - Great art. X un her drug fury kilsl the father/agent and then goes after the girls but they are smart enough to op inthe shower and wash off the drug. To bad the agency attacks, X kilsl them all until thier leader shows up, a woman with powers made to counter X-23. Someone X has never been able to beat. Uh oh. Good stuff IMO.
Exiles #92 - Rated 8 - I get that the heroes have to win but I think Cap A could hand Sabertooth his rear. Then again this is AoA Sabes. The team fights ninjas etc. and find out that to correct the world they have to kill Reed. So Psylocke goes to do the deed as Sue and Wolvie close in. Good stuff all together.
C/D #38 - Rated 10 - Awesomeness. Agent X gets captured by Hydra and his 2 female companions give Deadpool 4 very good reasons why he should go get him. And these are the best 4 reasons EVAR. DP though he is tiny goes in and finds Alex who is obese due to the sickness ray Hydra hit him with. DP gets resized and they all escape. While Alex takes time off to "heal", he asks DP to take over Agency X!!! Woohoo!
X-Factor #17 - Rated 9 - A killer doll tries to kill a gov official. Turns out an ex-mutant group has gotten together and deiced the gov took thier powers and threaten violence if they dont get their powers back. In fact, Rictor and Rayne get mistaken for members and are arrested. Meanwhile, Madrox tracks downa dupe who has become a great detective, and he knows everything MAdrox wants toknow aout everything, but it's so soul crushing that the dupe doesnt want Madrox to reabsorb hima nd gian the knowledge so he pretty much commits suicide. Great book.
Ms. Marvel #13 - Rated 8 - Taking place before Mighty Avengers we see moreof how Carol came to decide to lead it. She also decides to start a SHIELD strike force to "take it to them". Nice to see that Carol has second thoughts about the Registration and her Tony have it out verbally. Good stuff. At the end we see Arachne has tracked down Arana and wants to know wher her daughter is! Oh ye and it looks like Arana has lost some of her powers!
DEFINATELY not Black Panther. Hudlin writes that book.
SPOILERS
So, Rokk, after this issue of ASM, you still don't think Spiderman would be willing to kill Kingpin or somebody that killed Aunt May or MJ?
I think it basically proved my point: Spiderman always pulls his punches. But when you come close to killing Aunt May or MJ, he takes his gloves off and goes all-out.
However, I didn't expect him to just randomly kill a cop. I mean, he webbed him to the wall (completely covered except for his legs), walked past, and on his way out could have saved him but just left him. No doubt that the officer suffocated. And then he killed all those guys in the warehouse? Woah. One panel had Spiderman punching through a guy, with his hand coming out completely bloody.
And at the end he says "I won't stop, can't BE stopped, until I find the people responsible for shooting May. I WILL find them. And when I do... I'm going to kill them".
No, I don't think so because I didn't get the impression Spidey killed the guy and if Peter didn't kill this guy in "full-on rage" mode, he's not going to cross the line.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

"Un-fun Dad, un-fun Dad,
He's so bad, he mak'a me mad
Un-fun Dad, un-fun Dad
He's a real cad, Un-fun Dad"
So looking through my comic invoice for the week, I see "Civil War: Battle Damage Report". Anyone know if this is actual "reading" or is it another disguised ad at higher prices? Guess either way I have "The Spirit" to balance things.

It's got lots of reading if you enjoy the handbook type books. Entries for Civil War stuff like the Mighty Avengers and stuff.
The one thing that confused me about AMS this month (aside from the webbing still being there with the black costume) is when did Aunt May change her maiden name to Fitzgerald from Reilly? It's a small thing I guess, but it seems like a weird mistake to make.

If I recall correctly that is Peter's Mother's maiden name.

Yeah, which is what makes it all the more confusing. Unless it was a deliberate Freudian slip to imply that Peter thinks of Aunt May as his mother, but I think it was probably just a mistake. Just an odd one.
Though technically his mother's maiden name is Fitzpatrick, but I guess it's close enough.
