Hey everyone, me again.. just a few more questions I'd like clarified please:
1. CSA TA 'tokens' do not count towards total action allotment.
2. If a CSA member is currently taking an action, this character may place a token on itself (essentially double tokening itself)?
3. It says in the TA description that 'characters taking an action which is not a free action may not have a CSA token placed on them'. Does this apply for that turn? or can you say: Have a character make an attack action, then in the following turn, place a token on that character in order to use the PC granted by CSA? If that's possible, does that character clear at the end of that turn since it was 'given no actions' that turn?
Thanks for the help, sorry if these are silly, I'm not thinking straight anymore these days...

I'm no expert at rules, but I've played my CSA-team enough so that I think I can answer your questions.

1. CSA TA 'tokens' do not count towards total action allotment.
True. Giving someone a token is not the same as taking an action. Using CSA-team ability to reroll via probability is not an action. The token is the cost for using probability control, a power that would normally have no other costs, but CSA just forces it to give someone a token.

You answered this yourself in question 3 as characters taking an action cannot have a CSA token placed on them. For example, if you are attacking with U Johnny Quick using hypersonic speed. You use a power action to use his power to attack.
Now, it doesn't matter if Johnny has zero or 1 action tokens when he starts his action, you still cannot give Johnny a CSA token, because it cannot be used during a non-free action.

It applies for that action. You can use it once on your turn and once on opponent's for each CSA character but each time you do it gives a token to one of your friendly characters that are not currently making an action.(other than free)
I'm not totally sure about the clearing, but I've played it as if you give a token, you still have to wear it off normally (in other words, if you are give a token during your turn, it clears after your next turn if you don't push or give another token) even if you didn't move that turn. Someone else have advice on this?
Good Questions. These can get confusing sometimes.
Page 17 of the DR rules has the answer. You remove the tokens from any character which did not receive an action token on this turn. In other words, you don't actually need to be given an action, just an action token. A CSA token given on a turn will not be removed on that turn.

Wrong. Goken missed an important part of the TA description:

If an action token cannot be placed, this team ability may not be used. This team ability cannot be copied by wild card team abilities.
This is really only a way to prevent a character from ending up with three action tokens at the end of the action. It's fully legal to place the token on a figurte with 0 action tokens currently taking an action.
Ah ok, thanks for the clarification guys! I wasn't sure myself, and CSA's quite popular these days what with Johnny...
I have another question if I may, that's unrelated to CSA.
If I were to use transporter move and attack, and another character has shape change, when is the shape change roll determined? I.E do I have to make the attack against that figure (thereby using up my mobility) and then change my target upon a successful SC roll? Or does the move/attack become 'reset' as if you were given an entirely new choice a la Hypersonic Speed?
Thanks again for your help!
EDIT:
Wait... what Quebby? So again, as stated you can't do it~

Transporter attacks work just the same way as HSS when it comes to Shape Change: The Shape Change roll is made just prior to the attack roll, if it succeeds the transporter/HSSer cannot attack that figure, but may keep moving in order to attack someone else. Movement does NOT "reset".

It's simple. If you want to place a token on a figure with the CSA TA you need to ask yourself two questions:
1) Is the character currently taking an action?
2) Does it have one action token already?
If the answer to either question is "no", then you may place a token on that figure.
Alright, thanks again Quebbster, seems you're always there in the nick of time
For the second portion I assume you mean "Is the character taking an action? (which isn't a free action)" but I think I got what you mean now. Thanks again for the help.

In any sort of "move and attack" action, if the target hits SC, you are stuck unless you can continue moving (eg. HSS) or choose a new target. You do NOT go back to where you were because SC/Skrull is rolled at the time of the attack, not the movement.
As Quebster stated, the full description of the CSA TA says that the only time you can NOT token a figure is if they already have 2 tokens or if the figure is in the middle of taking an action and ALREADY has 1 token..... meaning that if Johnny Quick has 0 tokens and is making an attack, he can token himself (which will result in a push at the end of the action).
[edit].....Man, I'm slow when I'm otherwise occupied. LOL!!
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
