They're found originally in the Adventure kits (either has the listing of all 8 original ones) or the Danger Room Rulebook (for the generator and drone) or the LoSH rulebook (newsbot and comm dish).
I don't have the exact wording handy, but you can give the person carrying the broken drone a power action to make a ranged attack 4 squares away that deals 1 damage and the object is not destroyed when you do that, or use it like a regular light object.

Kinda worthless if you ask me. But cool.
It's good for pieces without range. Though I'd rather just chuck the object and do two damage...

LIGHT OBJECTS:
Mailbox: Add 1 to attacker's damage rating.
Crate: +2 squares rangs when thrown
Office Desk: May be used normally to attack, or add 2 to user's Defense versus one attack. The desk is destroyed when used.
Bookcase: Add 1 to attacker's Attack rating.
Broken Drone: 1) use this object normally in an attack or 2) give this character a ranged combat action (treating the character's range value as 4) and make a ranged combat attack against a single target opposing character. An attack using option 2 deals 1 damage but does not destroy this object.
NEWSBOT: When you give a character an action to attack using this object, it does not count toward your available actions for the turn.
HEAVY OBJECTS:
Dumpster: Object is never destroyed. The player that used it places it in any square adjacent to the target after use.
Computer: Add 1 to user's Attack rating.
Soda Machine: Add 1 to attacker's Damage rating.
Light Post: Object does normal damage for a heavy object, and Incapacitates the target as per the power.
Generator: See 'Dumpster.'
COM DISH: When this object is used in an attack, modify the attacker's Damage value by +1 for the attack.
Just to clarify, you can destroy the dumpster - by stepping on it with a colossal, molecularly destroying it with Owen, or dealing at least 3 damage to it.
Also, some objects are indoor and some are outdoor. That's why the generator is better than the dumpster (but not as cool) and the comm dish is better than the soda machine (but not as cool).
They've all been errata'd to have the gear symbol.
Just to clarify, you can destroy the dumpster - by stepping on it with a colossal, molecularly destroying it with Owen, or dealing at least 3 damage to it.
Or move through/on/next to it with Phantom Girl and use Disruption on it
On the Broken Drone topic, the only real use I could see for it is with Armor Piercing on a mid-range attack fig... if you're really adventurous, use AP on the Misty Knight pog and have her tote it around
