Can you use pummel with MC if the MCing is done while adjacent? Obviously the MCer would need to have super senses or crf present.
I.E. could purple man use pummel on a botched MC role while adjacent to an opposing character?

No. Pummel requires a close combat action, but Mind Control is a power action that allows for a close or ranged combat attack.
