If an elevated character is knocked back off elevated terrain, and the first square beyond the boundary line of the elevated terrain the knock back path crosses is a square of blocking terrain (which may occur on the outdoor LoSH map), what happens?
Is it the same as if the square was occupied by another character (therefore leaving the knocked back character on elevated terrain and dealing it one knock back damage)?
I believe for that, you would deal 1 KB damage for hitting a wall (although the "hanging" or whatever it's called may be more appropriate). It's similar to if a figure was in that spot below.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
You might want to revise and extend your quote, there, Esper3k. What you've quoted also implies that you can't be knocked off of elevated terrain at all as, technically, that would take you past the 'boundary of elevated terrain'.

That's what I thought too. But what confused me about it is that the sentence you quote, Esper3k, applies to grounded character, not elevated ones (i.e., the full sentence being: "A grounded character’s knock back path can’t continue beyond a wall, the edge of the map, the boundary of elevated terrain, or the boundary of blocking terrain.").
I was getting the impression from his example that the first square past the elevated edge is a square of blocking terrain?
The reason I didn't quote the Knock Back off Elevated Terrain section is that that section actually does not specifically address the current case (being knocked off of elevated where the first space off of elevated is occupied by blocking terrain), only the case where the first space is occupied by a character.
I would guess that having the character and blocking would be the same, but I felt it was better to use the main knockback text about crossing into blocking terrain as the blocking terrain would extend up like a wall anyways to the edge of the elevated and would prevent you from crossing into the boundary of blocking terrain.
Thanks though! I will try to be more clear in the future! (hopefully that didn't muddle things up!)

The term "grounded" is actually a bit misleading. In Heroclix, grounded actually just means "non-flier" and is not actually a reference to the figure's current elevation. They actually have a section further down addressing fliers that take knockback (just says that they don't take falling damage from dropping off of elevated terrain).

Incorrect.

TRADES. eBay.
An Admin told me that I'm "too smart" for Another Realm. I hold that as a standing order.

Uuummmmm..... grounded is actually non-elevated.
A non-flier is a non-flier.
[edit]Ooh, too slow... beaten by 2 posters this time

So if you take knockback off a building but you'd land on another fiure, you stay but also take 1 damage?
Yes. For reference:

If a nonflying character is knocked off elevated terrain (see “Elevated Terrain,” p. 32), the knock back path stops in the first square beyond the boundary of the elevated terrain and the character is dealt 2 knock back damage. If a character already occupies the first square beyond the boundary of the elevated terrain, the knock back path stops in the first unoccupied square (leaving the character on elevated terrain) and the character is dealt 1 knock back damage.

Logically, simply having someone in the space where you're falling shouldn't prevent your fall. If I dove off of a diving board and you were beneath me, your presence wouldn't allow me to defy gravity and remain on the board.
Thus, if the character were knocked back off of a building on top of another character who was 'grounded' below, he should still be knocked back off of the building, land in a square adjacent to the square that was occupied by the other character, and then he should take two damage from the fall, and the character he 'landed on' should take one damage.
But, as was pointed out previously, HeroClix is not a game built on logic.
