Defense - Unstoppable: Doomsday can use Invulnerability. When you turn Doomsday's combat dial as a result of him taking damage, stop turning the dial when Unstoppable appears in the stat slot.
So lemme see if I have this correct.
1) Magog charges Doomsday with an object, using exploit weakness. 7 clicks penetrating damage. However, the attack will only put him on his Unstoppable click (click 3).
2) Green Arrow then follows up and tags Doomsday with an armor piercing arrow (using the AP feat, of course). This has no effect because Unstoppable is already showing on the dial?
If case 2 is true, then that would mean a Doomsday armed with the Fortitude feat could only be knocked off Unstoppable by either PW, or the using Thwart on Fortitude followed by outwitting the special power. Am I correct? Ignore this bit if case 2 isn't correct.
Great Scott! I've been doing this for over 10 years?!
2) Doomsday takes 1 damage via AP. When you're on the Unstoppable click, it's "just" Invulnerability. The other effect only takes place if you're clicking from Clicks 1 or 2.
The first part is right, But the next part is that now the power is like Invulnerability, it only stops when going thru the dial, after stopping on the power it now is just like Invulnerability, this is so no one can outwit his defencs and smack him for more than two damage on their first hit. Hope this helps. I think I am right on this, or at least this is how I understand it.
What I do not like is that Invulnerability (a non-optional power) has been shoe-horned into an optional power. As such, I can MC Doomsday and cancel his Unstoppable...taking Invulnerability along with it.
One way to easily beat the #### out of doomsday is to capture him with a colossal fig. You won't need to deal with his 11 click dial and especially his 11 click -2 damage reducer dial. haahha
If you try to think about it, doomsday would definitely have fortitude on him so that means, 286 points of captured figs. Now if you're playing a 300 pointer, what are the chances that he would be able to rescue his doomsday??? hahahha

You underestimate the true power of Joey the Snake.

I don't know that this MC trick works anymore. Power-cancelling only lasts until the end of the controlling player's turn, right? But since the MC'd fig returns to the other player's control immediately, the power ought to come back, since "cancel" does not equal "counter."

Actually, cancellation of powers has not changed one whit since at least Universe. What changed was a couple powers (like Impervious) were changed to no longer be optional.
And it isn't the 'controlling player's turn', it is the 'current turn'. And the same player is still taking his/her turn before, during, and after the MC action From the LoSH rule book (page 13):
When a power is canceled, it is canceled until the end of that turn and resumes effect at the beginning of the next player’s turn.
With the current wording of all Special Powers being optional, we can definitely turn off Unstoppable (with MC) and smack Doomsday around something fierce!

And do believe for one minute that that was the intention?
Pulse Wave ignores all powers, feats and team abilities within range.
Unstoppable is a power.
Ergo, Pulse Wave ignores Unstoppable (both parts, I assume...).
