It is the greatest time of year because football is starting up. What was everyones thoughts about the games from yesterday. As much as it pains me to say it Georgia looked really good yesterday. My beloved Auburn Tigers looked terrible. If they win 8 games this year I will be pretty pleased with the season. Somehow Michigan and NC State lost to teams that should not have beaten them. But, regardless of the outcome I love seeing the players line up against one another on Saturdays.

So, what are your thoughts about your teams?

As a Michigan fan, I cried a lot on Saturday. It really took the wind out of my sails for watching college ball the rest of the day.

It's a shame what happened to Michigan. It's not like App was a bad school, because they aren't. Winning division 1-AA championship two years in a row is no small feat. They may be a smaller school, but it doesn't mean they can't be as good. And I don't think the BSC takes other division teams into consideration.

Well, USC won! Not beating predictions, but won none-the-less.

App. State is actually a very good smaller school. But, I never in a million years would have picked them to beat Michigan the way they did.

Who did USC play? I want to say it was Nebraska but I cannot remember for sure. I do not expect USC to lose a game this year. Cal looked really solid against Tennessee so if anyone is going to do it I believe it will be the Golden Bears. But, USC will be up for that game and probably do just fine. Plus, they normally don't play until the 5th or 6th game of the season I think and USC will be running on all cylinders at that point.

I am curious to see what LSU looks like when they play a real opponent. MSU has been the worst SEC team for the last 2 or 3 years so that game does not really count for me. But, I am curious to see what their offense can do against a real defense.

Also, I believe that the BCS system does take into account the lower tier schools that are played. The reason I say this is because the computers were what kept Auburn out of the National Championship game a few years ago. It was because we played the Citadel which a lower level opponent.

Usc played Idaho last week. They travel to Lincoln to plat Nebraska. LSU plays Va. Tech at Death Valley.
