Absolute no brainer.

Kaitouace is spot on. 16 points. Protected and Nanoarmor.

I used:

5 Unstoppable
4 Hold The Line

Not the best choices, I'm sure, but Hold The Line is fun.

Doomsday + Protected+ endurnace+ Fortitude

having endurance lets him keep smaking someone and even if he misses the roll, the white power stops all the damage right there. So you could have to take 10 damage and only take 3

I have used him with Lucky Break, Protected, and a "Taxi of Doom" (V Hive Trooper)

Yeah, it's not all cardboard...but Doomsday does not have BF on every click!

As good as Protected is, he has 2 chances to limit damage dealt anyway (with Unstoppable) but then again, what else would you do?

I think hold the Line and AND stay Down! would be great! He'll likely only have an object for the first attack....and since he'll likely get swarmed, 2 attacks even -2 AV will be DANDY!

I think he needs Lucky Break in case he rolls a crit miss.

Endurance, Nanoarmor and Vault

Would anyone ever consider putting Endurance and Shellhead on Doomsday? I know it seems out of synch, but it does give options...

I like using Doomsday with

Fortitude
Protected
Unstoppable

Doomsday is such a beast of a brick, why not make him even better with a few feats.

Yeah, I'm a bit torn since Repulsor Shield is a good switch for Fort, but that's how I like my Doomsday!

(Oh, and if you think there's a Giant running around, put Movethrough on instead of Protected. Charge!)

Endurance and Shellhead is a good combo for Doomsday, but Nanobots is probably a waste - he only meets the prerequisite for a single click, and chances are good you'll just get blown right past it. Besides, once he gets there he will probably have used up most availible objects anyway.
Armor Piercing would probably be a better option as it increases the potential of his Damage Shield, Flurry and Quake.
