So, I've got 128 points left in a Wildcard team (with a couple 18DV Wildcards) and would like to put the Alt Fantastic Four team ability in there, but in an atypical way - I want to use The Thing!

But I am faced with a dilemma - which Thing should I use?

The V has more Super Strength, more Charge and one more click of 3 damage. On the other hand, the LE has higher Defense, higher Speed, one more click of Invulnerability, and since he's 5 points less, he can fit Unstoppable on.

I'd go with the Vet. He can take a big hit and still charge. Plus you said you had wildcards with 18D on your team so that shouldn't be a huge issue.

I'd go with the LE+ Unstopable. Ignoring hindering during your charge could be huge. The extra INV click is better (esp with alt FF to use a higher DV). An extra top dial click of 4 damage is better than an ending dial click of 3 damage. By mid dial there may not be enough objects around that you can get to for SS anyway.

I agree with both Bud and Tarnish.

The added mobility the Vet has is huge. The fight is underway and its nice when Ben KO's someone and then has an option to run up and smack someone else. Without it he needs to rely on a taxi or run up on his own.

I do like Unstoppable on Ben, and I also really like the added click of Invulnerability and the extra 4 damage.

In the end, I think the Vet's added mobility may be more valuable, allowing him to be more readily pushed than the LE.

But its a close-choice...

Aside: No Thing yet is even close to representing Ma Grimm's favorite son the way I want him done. Maybe in M&M, he fits the Monsters title (and it would be nice to have the F4 more spread out than always coming in the same set).
