Solid, dependable...other that the face a fine sculpt. what makes this less than the man of steel?

I like this piece - it makes for looong games though. His 8 AV at the end of his dial will have a hard time with some figs' 17 defenses, and everybody will have trouble hitting that 19 and 20.

But he's 26 points more than the Man of Steel and has much lower damage values, and the useless-if-you're-over-50-points JLA team ability.

one point cheaper and we could use him with the new batman. i pulled them both and really wanted to make it happen. sad day.

One word Super.

Should not start with HSS.

Not bad for the points, and the escalating defense can be game-breaking.. Lots of HSS and charge are a plus.

this is the worst superman since the early days. Played against him last night and once you knock him down to his 9 AV (which isn't THAT hard) he's pretty much no longer a thread. 5 clicks of no damage reduction is pretty bad too.

Superman is good, though he should be a bit stronger on values, really on damage, especially upfront, though he is still a good piece.

He's no Icons V Superman, but still a pretty good version of the Man O' Steel (and not being retired is always a plus). JLA TA hurts him at his point cost.

Ok the bad news first, not a fan of the self sacrifise! Is it me or did they forget to give him toughness as part of that power? second I dont want 2 damage on my superman anywhere, yea cce helps but its just not accurate.

The good news; He has done really well for me and I love the sculpt, classic supes pose. Good defense and hss makes him hard to catch. I can honestly say I dont think I ever played him and had to use the self sacrifise clix cause he never ended up on them.

a trait called xray vision would have made this figure awsome!

I'm a fan. If he had the Superman TA, he'd be just about perfect. For those who don't like the Self Sacrifice power, put Life Model Decoy on him--then those last 5 clicks have Toughness, basically.

I just wish that his Self-Sacrifice special power was at the front of his dial - overlapping with his damage reducers and at a point when he's not about to be KOd, it would actually be very useful!

This is and was my first Superman so I may be a little impartial. I really like him and I know the CCE doesn't work with HHS, but you can make it work for you. You can add lunge to give him two extra speed and maneuver to mess up the opposition. And somebody already mentioned life model decoy. If you play him with the feats he costs the same as Icons vet supes. Superman 226 + Maneuver 8 + Life Model Decoy 12 + Lunge 5 = 251.
