I'm writing an article, and have a question about Mr Mxyzptlk.
Mr Mxyzptlk's special power, Object Animation, reads as follows:
Attack - OBJECT ANIMATION: Give Mr Mxyzptlk a power action and roll a d6 for each opposing character that has zero or one action token, that is in a square 4 or fewer squares away to which Mr Mxyzptlk has a clear line of fire, and that is carrying an object or adjacent to or occupies either a square of hindering terrain or a square that has an object. On a result of 3-6, give the character an action token.
Does the hindering terrain marker created by the Smoke Cloud power count towards Object Animation's requirement for hindering terrain? I have seen nothing in the errata to indicate otherwise, but wanted to make sure before I posted my article.
I tried it once with a Batzarro/Myxtlplk combo. It completely took my opponent by surprise, and would have been awesome if I hadn't totally botched the object animation rolls. The dice gods hate me.

I love Mr. Mxy's Object Animation power. It's perfect for him, but it saddens me to see that it's very underrated, as it is possible for Mxy to tie up your opponent's entire team. I've had great success with it, and it has always taken my opponent by surprise.
However, gameplay-wise the range for Mxy's power is counterintuitive to his dial, as he really should be outside the main action and not necessarily in the thick of battle.
On another note, smoke cloud is becoming a much more useful power, particualarly combined with the Flashbang feat. It helps C Bats get into position (or you can slide a smoke cloud token under him to start OOTS) and it is great for giving Mxy the ability to use his special power. Lay a smoke cloud, then object animate every opponent adjacent to it (even those in stealth).

You don't need to throw smoke markers next to someone with Stealth (provided they're already standing on an object or in hindering terrain) to get them with Object Animation.
Mxy needs a clear LOF to the target SQUARE a victim of his Object Animation is in, not a clear LOF to the character himself. Stealth does not protect against Object Animation in any way, shape or form

Hey! I didn't notice that! That'll be going into my article. Thanks!

Alot of extraneous stuff there. But lets take that out...

Mxy cant see Batman due to LOS/stealth.
Is there some FAQ or judge's ruling which shows Mxy needs LOF to the square and not the character??
Hey, no fair! I beat Melkhor on that point by 7 minutes. Maybe my post wasn't clear enough on that point . . .

Then you must assume LOF is to the CHARACTER, as it is with every other power.
I dont see how Mxy gets to bust stealth....
The power clearly states, though, that Mxy needs line of fire to the square. So, unless/until it gets FAQ'd, I have to assume that the power works the way it's been worded.
I thought I remember a post about LOF to the square, not the character too. But I can't back that up. It is currently being discussed with Game Design. See this link:
I want to side with LOF to the square, as his power references the terrain, and not to the character.
Oh, and Domi, sorry about not explaining it in my post. I thought it was a given. Guess I was wrong about that. I do enjoy your articles, so I hope to see this discussion continued in it. Thanks!
