Since we're between Sealed and Floor events now, our Judge has let us tell him the kind of matches we want to play, and he'll choose scenarios and such. Well, with a few Fooms in the area, we had a Foom day! Originally, there were going to be 2 Fooms and players would bring 600 point teams, restricted to a team symbol and must be Marvel...in the end, we had 1 foom and 3 players with 600 point teams. So we'd fight Foom, then degenerate into a free for all. The team I brought was:

As you can guess, the concept of the team was pretty simple...use BT on attack and damage values, perplex down Foom's defense, and get to work. Overall, the plan worked pretty well, except for getting Foom off of his first click...even with help, it took forever to get past that 20 Impervious...so my two Meteorites in the hands of Juggernaut and Colossus did nothing :disappoin Still, we overall went to town on Foom, Juggernaut managed to Impervious his counterattacks from Foom and only ended up taking some damage from a Psychic blast that was mostly against another target. Cyclops, Wolverine, and Storm all managed a solid high-damage hit that send them near end-dial...using some X-heal battery and Auto-Regen, they stayed in the fight. Fighting Foom was a lot of fun, especially with the Rampage dial changing things up every hit...in the end, the player with the Squadron Supreme group [Aleta, Joe Ledger, V Hyperion, Starhawk, Beast] got in the last hit...and the free for all began, with a few X-men feeling a bit of a sting, Hyperion, Starhawk, and Joe damaged, and the Ultimates missing Iron Man [who got in a Full Power for 5 before biting it!] with some spread about pain. In the end, the X-team lost because when Ultimates Cap got to his last [flurry, outwit] click, he kept harassing the heal battery...and for the love of all things clix, they couldn't roll high enough to hit [fours don't help!]. In the end, we all had a lot of fun and while the X-team would have taken it if they could have taken out Cap [which they just plain couldn't roll well enough to do, despite many turns of trying ], it ended up with Starhawk as the lone survivor on a very bloody battlefield.
