Outsiders TA - Once at the beginning of your turn as a free action, a member of this team chooses a target friendly or opposing character within 10 squares; the member must have clear line of fire to the target. Until the beginning of your next turn, the target may not be the target of powers or team abilities that modify its combat values. This team ability may not be copied by wild card team abilities.
OK, there's been a lot of talk about using this TA not only to prevent your enemies from getting stat bonuses but also using powers that apply negatives and still getting the benefits. My reading of the TA though suggests that the later scenario isn't possible. The TA doesn't actually say that the target fig is immune from any stat modifiers it simply says that no power may be used on this character if usage results in their stats being modified. This makes a huge difference when adjudicating whether some powers/FCs are even legal after being 'Outsidered'.
The example that prompted this investigation was the number of threads going around about Colossus and his Fastball Special SP. From my reading if a fig were 'Outsidered', friend or foe, they would no longer be an eligible target for FS because the TA prevents the use of any powers which would modify stats. The same argument could be extended to FCs like Pounce or Haymaker. You have to take the good with the bad.
If I'm wrong on this point someone please clarify it for me.

wow you have a really good point there, good catch
i would also argue that outsidering them after the fact they would still get the -2 ... its already been applied
hmmm this could get into a good discussion
quit calling web tokens objects dammit, they cannot be carried and have no "unique game effect" they are nothing more then sculpted "Special" cardboard squares

You need to use the current wording of the TA. From the LoSH PAC:
OUTSIDERS Once at the beginning of your turn as a free action, an Outsiders team member on your force may choose a target friendly or opposing character. The team member must be within 10 squares of the target and have a clear line of fire to the target. Until the beginning of your next turn, the target’s combat values can’t be modified by powers or team abilities. This team ability can’t be used by wild cards.
See? No more 'can't be the target, etc' wording. Just flat out 'no modifiers'. Outsiders is a great way to negate penalties from powers or TAs to friendly figures.

Actually, the argument couldn't be made for that. Outsiders only applies to POWERS and TAs. Feat cards are neither. If I Outsider your Haymakered Cap, he still gets the +2 and -1 when using Haymaker.
This is also true of abilities. I can't Outsider my Hawkeye and avoid the -2 on HSS-lite.
As for the example given, what you could do is Outsider the guy you want to throw with FBS. After being thrown there will be no negs to the damage.
