Even Seth gets things wrong now and again. Boring sculpt with no discernible attachment to the story art...and a dial that is equally as disconnected and boring to boot. Poor sport this time around.
Honestly, I was hoping for more. He's not terrible, but he's not great either. He should have had some Outwit, though that would have just boosted his cost. A higher Attack is definately justified, but again, his cost would have risen. The SP is a bonus, if you get to use it. The starting 4 straight clicks of 18 DV with Impervious for 3, then into Invulnerability is awesome, but when I have played him he either get's his Defense Outwitted, or he get's hit hard enough to fly right past those clicks. You could add Fortitude, but do you really want to spend another 25 points on him? In a large point game (1000+) I probably would, but anything else, probably not. All in all, he's OK, but I was really hoping for a 250+ point beatstick of a Hulk, with numbers and powers that were crazy.
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........
This is a good piece, it just needs some support pieces to help out. I have played in a few games and once he got moving, it was hard to stop him short of putting all resources to pound him (much like Green Scar). i wish he flowed with Charge instead of Leap/Climb, but he is still pretty damn good as a beatstick. Granted, i would rather use a FF starter Thing or Rampaging Hulk with feats, but don't knock the Maestro for what he does. I sort of wish Juggernaut had a dial like this.
Considering this is one of the most powerful versions of the Hulk ever (WWH and Rulk among them) I was expecting a beefier version of the Jade Goliath.

Terrible fig for the points. I've never seen him land a hit. You want to make him worth it? Give him Green Scar or Rampaging Hulk's move and attack power on one click. Otherwise I'll stand back and lay waste to him by the time he's halfway across the board.

Maestro is the ultimate beatstick. Some people say his attack sucks, really it's great. Maestro as a free action can attack with a +2 attack from his SP after he either 1. Attacks as a action. 2. Moves as action. So when he has charge, he can first use charge and after he uses charge he can attack a second time with a +2 attack. There is only 3 figs that can also attack with that strength 1. 238 point KC Superman 2. 317 point KC Superman 3. 142 point Hercules(with 2 heavy objects).

Sorry, but that is not how his SP works. You give him a power action and then he can be make an attack as a free action at +2. You can not give a character more than one non-free action per turn so, no, he can not move (as a move action) then be given a power action to attack at +2. Or Charge (a power action in its own right) and then another power action... none of that works. He's an okay figure, but not even close to as good as he probably should have been

"Give Maestro a power action and he can make a close combat attack as a free action"
he is given a power action then as a FREE action... it isn't a power action. i dont even have this piece and i haven't seen him played, i don't know the ruling, but it seems more ambiguious and your point on this seems to point that he can make a power action (move or attack) and then attack as a free action.

It *is* a power action; it says so right in the SP description. If you see this as ambiguous, then I recommend you reread your rule book (specifically the parts about resolving actions on pages 6 and 7).
Bottom line: Maestro can either be given a power action to activate Charge (and gain a free close combat action from that, which would allow him to use Quake) or he can be given a power action to activate the second part of Gamma-Saturated (which only grants a free close combat attack, so no Quake and definitely no Charge).
Does anyone agree that they shouldve just added 2 to his attack instead of causing all the confusion? Im still not understanding this guys SP. Im thinkin they screwed up something. Maybe not...Im not sure.
