It's 2008, and the presidential campaign is in full swing. So, where are the Prez comics? I don't think they've ever been collected, it seems like this would be a good time to get some cheap publicity. Or possibly a sequel or "re-imagining." Heck, even a cameo on one of the 52 worlds would be cool.

They did a "re-imagining" about 15 years ago in an issue of Gaiman's "Sandman". I don't recall much about it, except that John Belushi lived to a ripe old age.

Gaiman did re-imagine Prez, and it was probably one of the better standalone issues of the series. I'd even love me some Prez as a pog, but in reality a fig would be nice. Maybe along the lines of a Lois Lane or Alfred, Hypertime TA, Leadership and/or Perplex down the dial.

Wasn't there an attempt on Prez's life by a woman obsessed with Wildcat? Sort of a combo of Squeaky Fromme and John Hinkley. That was before DC rehabilitation of Wildcat, when he was obscure enough for Gaiman to include him. Now it would probably be Air Wave.
