I put a message up on the Gencon boards, and was told that they were planning to have games up there, and there will be an announcement about it later.
Yes there will most definately be a Sealed Event and a Constructed Event for Heroclix
It will be the 2008 Australian Heroclix Nationals and Prize support will be Fantastic

How exactly does this work? Do you have to buy a brick at the convention?
That's what i was wondering. Who's gonna still be sitting on their boxes and receipt from sinister if they didn't get venom at the time. I notice you have worlds finest listed. Nice but not worth the trip. Not good if we can't get any the conventional way because you've got them all though. Nice batch of prizes though. Wish I could afford to just zip off to brissie.
I just don't see the point with playing a game with such a diverse background and flavour as Heroclix and such a massive pool of pieces to choose from to limit yourself to playing dupes or the same character over and over.
Hhmm... Croftminster has 4 Brick redemption forms and receipts from me, following Wizkid's 'instructions' (those who went to the source - or ebay - were infinitely wiser).
I got my Crisis brick yesterday but with a limit of 5,000 WF's and having Wizkids announce 'Sold Out' last Friday and then there being some (limited, moreso I imagine) at the 'Heroclix Nats' announced, here, yesterday...
...it all leaves a pretty sour taste.
I imagine Wizkids are ecstatic. I emailed their 'customer support'. No reply.
Whoever makes the Nats should be suitably rewarded. Luck to them.
I know the brick figure redemptions have been an issue in the past
and sadly there is nothing I can do about that.
I however, do think that just getting some brick figures into Australia is a Great improvement and bodes well for the Future.
I can assure you that Croftminster has gone to alot of effort
to get brick figures and make them available for the players in Australia.
(There is alot that Croftminster does do for Heroclix in Australia
I have seen it first hand with the planning for Supanova and Gencon)
Things are much better then they were a few years ago
and Supanova and Gencon are the start of many great things to come.
I would encourage everyone to come along to Gencon
and enjoy some excellent tournaments
