After reading the first two issues of the Loeb/McGuinness Hulk, I believe I have discovered the identity of the Red Rampager: Doc Samson. Isn't it interesting how Doc gets a haircut in the Thunderbolts shortly before the new Hulk first appears with a similar coiffure? Picking a fight with the Winter Guard and almost causing an international incident in the first issue seemed a little out of character for the usually rational and reasonable psychiatrist; perhaps he himself is having anger issues? Doc has access to Iron Man's Hellicarrier and could have stolen the gun from the armory. Furthermore, he was notably absent when the Hulk assaulted it. While, this could just be another red herring like Rick Jones waking up shirtless and amnesiac in Alaska at the end of the first issue, I will enjoy seeing how this plays out. Loeb may not be my favorite writer, but he usually teams up with artists I like a lot (or love in the case of Ed McGuinness) and brings out the best in them. This is going to be a fun ride!
BTW, Doc Samson's haircut finally matches his Heroclix, but now his costume doesn't. Some people can't win, I guess.
Christian Bale: "How much more Batman can you get? The answer is: none. None more Batman."
No no. It's actually gonna be the real Peter Parker. The one who thinks he's Spider-Man will actually be... a CLONE!*gasp* And Red Peter Hulk Parker (or maybe we should call him the "Scarlet" Parker... Scarlet seems right for some reason) will go back when Aunt May is dying (again) and meet clone-Peter and they'll fight and then become best friends and then the Goblin will kill the clone and the real Peter will make a deal with Mephisto to save the dying Aunt May and then he'll be married to Mary Jane again.
But they'd never do something that stupid. Right?
right?
HeroClix needs more Goblin.
Acceptable in such forms as Green, Grey, Demo, Hob, Ultimate, and "Menace."

nah.
marvel has more integrity than that.
My kitten has defeated more heroclix figures than Galactus ever will. His paw is strong!

I totally agree.
Its exactly what I was thinking once we saw that its a near impossibility its Thunderbolt Ross.
Of course once fans find out Loeb will engage in his classic "If I haven't revealed it yet I can still change my mind" tactic, and make it somebody totally obscure...
Loeb Loeb Loeb....
His DC works sooooooooooooooo much stronger than his Marvel work thats for sure!
I mean did you read that Wolverine run of his?
Gah!
His way of clearing up Wolveys history was to make it more confusing (and just as stupid!) as ever!
After the first two issues, I would tend to agree with darthnader in that Samson appears to be the only logical option. But then, logic doesn't always come into play, does it?
Regardless, I'll have to find out through the boards here as the book isn't piquing my interest enough to keep spending my limited comics funds on it.
Can I get some pics of the new abomb and hulk throw down!?

Picked up #2 yesterday, and I actually am liking the series. Perhaps the World War Hulk "red sun lasers" or whatever disabled the Hulk had a side effect on beings that had prior gamma ray exposure/mutation, specifically Doc Samson and Rick Jones?
If nothing else... this is far better than Ultimates 3.
(Of course, I think the Batman and Robin movie could be better than Ultimates 3...)

Until Captain America gets killed, Make Mine Marvel... oh.
Until Spider-Man and Mary Jane break up, Make Mine Marv... oh, right.
Until Iron Man becomes a total #$&^%!!, and tries to rule the superhero community, Make Mine...
Until Joe Quesada messes up the Marvel Universe... Marvel?
