Here we go again. We've really enjoyed playing the bigger games like the "War of the Universes" games. We're looking to continue those with pretty much the same criteria. Part 1 goes up to 10K points, 8 figures on board each, every feat can be used up to twice, objects get replaced mid-way through the game. We'd found it to pretty much be the most fun of games out there.
"Return to Crisis" is simply the newest storyline concept basically the Anti-Monitor assembles the worlds greatest villains just as the Monitor grabs all the heroes for a battle royale for the ultimate prize: pan-world and dimensional domination.
Across the field, Sir Justin watched as the invaders approached. "Come barbarians, and feel my blade. You'll not take England this day." But then someone else appeared in front of him. A woman in outlandish garb.
"Shining Knight, you are needed," she said.
"Who are you?" he asked. "Begone witch, I needs must defend the realm against these heathens."
"There are others who will fight this fight for you. The one you are required for is a role that only you can play." A nimbus of energy began to form around her and she disappeared, taking Sir Justin with her.
Space: The Shi'ar Homeworld.
"Majestrix," the minister said. "The Badoon ambassador has been demanding an audience for five days now. Can you not see him, even briefly?"
"She cannot."
"Who said that?" Majestrix Lilandra asked.
"I am Harbinger, and you are needed..."
And so it went.
"Only eight?" Harbinger asked.
"It will have to do for now," the Monitor said. "Things move more quickly than I would like. The enemy does not wait. We must act to stop him now, or it will be too late. But go. Continue to recruit my heroes from all of the different universes. They will be needed to replace those that fall."
"Of course," Harbinger said. "But is that all I can do? Shall I not fight for you as well?"
"Perhaps before the end we will both take a more active role, but for now, you are the Harbinger. That is what I need you to be."
"Aren't you the snotty cuss?" the Pied Piper asks.
"Full of himself type I can tell," the Trickster says.
"Oh yeah? I'll make you full of my fists. Nobody but nobody talks that way to Unus the...".
Unus freezes up then unfreezes, "Hey guys, how about coffee sometime."
The Pied Piper and Trickster stand confused and Psimon looks at them both. "Now that I have your undivided attention, let us consider the matter at hand."
"You are a construct, like myself," Danger says to the Super-Adaptoid.
"Indeed, only far superior."
"On that score, you will have much to prove."
"And I shall."
"Enough," the Anti-Monitor says, "Working with villains, with all this in fighting, is tiring. You are all here because of my doing. I'll brook no more of this."
"Ummmm...", Cheshire asks, "And why is that, anyway? And why us?".
"World domination, I hope," the Green Goblin says.
"More than that. Domination of countless worlds and dimensions far beyond your ken. I have assembled the greatest villains of existence to battle for this. The rewards shall be great, as will the punishment for failure. And to answer your second question, Cheshire, I have surveyed all of the villainy at my command and I chose you because you were needed."
"Well," Johnny Quick says sarcastically, "I guess THAT answers everything. When do we start?"
"Now," says the Anti-Monitor.
"Do we have the opportunity for tea before we go? A hot cup would sure do us all some good," Unus says, still pacified under Psimon's mental suggestion.
Since you had initiative for map choice, I thought you'd be going first too, but okay. I'll roll. I get a 10. Guess I get to start this thing.
Psimon can't have Extended Range, by the way. His range is already 10, and the requirement for the card is a range less than 10. Also, Lucky Break is fine for Super-Adaptoid, be he can only use it on his Earthbound clicks.
Before I start, place your objects. I don't think it will make too much of a difference, but depending on where you put them I suppose it might.
"That there's a pretty nasty bunch," Vigilante observed.
"You can say that again," Lionheart said. "I don't recognize them all, but they all look pretty dangerous."
"Ah, buncha poozers, the lot of 'em," Kilowog said. "We can take 'em."
"Verily, thy confidence is well-placed," Sir Justin said. "I propose we advance on them. Milady, wouldst thou join me on Vanguard?"
"I get to ride the flying horse?" Nocturne asked, her eyes bright. "Cool!" She jumped on eagerly.
"Well, it ain't a flying horse, but you're welcome to ride on the back of my motorcycle," Vigilante offered to Lilandra.
"You want me to ride on this primitive conveyance?" Lilandra asked haughtily.
"'Less you'd rather walk. Up to you," Vigilante shrugged. Lilandra rolled her eyes, but nevertheless mounted the motorcycle.
"You want I should make you a flying earth quadruped or a motorcycle?" Kilowog asked Negative Woman.
"I have my own mode of travel, thank you." She said, her negative self rising from her body and flying forward.
"And I suppose I can give you a lift," Thunderstrike offered to Lionheart.
"I think we oughta hang back," Kilowog said.
"What you suggest smacks of cowardice," Lionheart said.
"Nobody ever accused me of being a coward," the Green Lantern explained himself patiently. "I'm just saying if we wait and see how they move in reaction to our first wave guys, we can deploy more intelligently."
"Then I apologize. That makes sense," Lionheart said.
"Besides, I suppose someone should stay here to make sure nothing happens to her," Thunderstrike pointed to Negative Woman's inert physical body.
The Super-Adaptoid moves forward first. "Be ready, enemies," he says morphing into various shapes, "To face the skill of Hawkeye, the durability of Iron Man, the agility of Captain America and the brute power of Thor all in one. Be ready, enemies, to die at the hand of the Super-Adaptoid."
"Ummmm...dude," the Trickster says, "There's no one there. Save the bravado for when you actually SEE your enemy." He turns to the Pied Piper, "Geez, these bad guys are always so filled with drama. Do the good guys have to deal with this junk?".
"You've heard their speeches, buddy," he replies, "They're far worse."
Despite all the talk about him the Super-Adaptoid doesn't respond, he merely looks on, prepared for battle.
Didn't really think Vigilante could be straddling the corner as you say, but he's a transporter so why not?

Just then a pumpkin bomb explodes against her. She screams as she is smacked back with excessive force.
"Ah," the Green Goblin says, "I do so love the smell of burny flesh in the morning."
Johnny Quick looks over to him, "Show off," is all he says.
