Theme Team Question

Ok here is a easy question....

What is considered the requirements to make a theme team?

The same keyword on all the figures, at least 3 figures on the team, and at least 1 fig per 100 points (or 1 per 150 pts of certain "non-generic" keywords)

-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy

.... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????

And "figure" is the keyword here (no pun intended)... bystanders are characters just like figures are and are now permissible on theme teams, but they do not count towards the total required for a theme team.

I don't consider bystanders to be figures... figures are actual sculpted playing pieces that are also characters in the game; bystanders are just character tokens.

Poor Invisible Woman, Atom, Antman and Shrinking Violet, they aren't pogs or figures. Just little hockey pucks with stat windows...

At least they get keywords.

r u sure??

I know that there is a confirmation that there can be a non-generic theme of 2 in a 300 point game from the RA.

I have yet to see any evidence that there is ANY minimum anymore. In a 100 point tournament.....it LOOKS like you can have as little as 1 character to make a Theme Team!!!! you would never get the PC bonus....but the other bonuses apply.

I'm still waiting on an answer to clarify this

There is no longer a minimum character requirement. The Theme Team rules in the latest Errata and Clarifications document completely replaces the Theme Team rules in the rule book. Here are the theme team rules:

• The player of a themed team can choose one target battlefield condition to be ignored by all players during the game (this choice is made when battlefield conditions are revealed); once the choice is made, it can’t be changed. This benefit is optional.
• For each two characters (excluding bystander tokens) on a themed team, a character on the themed team can use Probability Control once during the game; give that character an action token for this use of Probability Control. A character can’t be chosen to use this benefit if is already has two action tokens or if it has already been given an action on the turn this benefit is used.
Generic keywords. For the purposes of building themed teams, generic keywords are the following: Animal, Armor, Brute, Celebrity, Cosmic, Deity, Detective, Future, Herald, Kid, Martial Artist, Monster, Mutant, Mystical, Past, Police, Politician, Psychic, Reporter, Robot, Ruler, Scientist, Soldier, Spy, Teen, Warrior.

So if i ran The Man of Steel and The Dark Knight together only would they be a theme team? They both have the same keyword.

I'm not seeing that. All I see is: "Document updates are tournament legal February 27, 2008. All new entries since the last update are shown in red."

Can you help a brother out?
