"Spacewalk Time"
Part 2 (of 4) of The Kree/Skrull War

Strapped into his seat, Hawkeye's face took on a slight tinge of blue – or perhaps purple. Tigra sat nearby and looked like she was trying to curl up into a ball, her legs pulled in closely, arms wrapped around her knees, and she was growling quietly. Wonder Man's knuckles betrayed the fact that he was holding onto his seat very tightly.
"Fascinating," said Ant-Man. "I believe we are traveling faster than light – if that's possible; or perhaps we have entered a wormhole." He and Moon Knight were looking out of the starship's small portals into the vastness of space. Sersi was the only member of the Avengers' West Coast team who was showing few outward effects of the trip. As an Eternal who was capable of controlling and manipulating the very molecules of her body, space flight did not present her with as much unpleasantness as it did the other Avengers.
The events of the previous 48 hours had occurred at such an unbelievable pace that the assembled heroes had had no time for it all to sink in. After confronting a challenge of the Skrulls in Panama, the Avengers had quickly flown to Peru. There, they successfully destroyed the power cells that had supported the planetary shield surrounding Earth, which had been concealed in a Kree facility high in the Andes Mountains. Now they found themselves hurtling through interstellar space in a starship of Kree design that had been commandeered by the Skrulls, another star-faring species. The leader of this group of Skrulls possessed the combined powers of the Fantastic Four and was called Kl'rt – or the Super Skrull.
Iron Man spoke, "I know I'm the newest member of this group, but it's hard for me to swallow all of the stuff this Super Skrull guy says."* His thoughts were reflected in many of the heroes' minds. "He doesn't really seem to need us, and I feel like he's been telling us only enough as to keep us quiet."
Before anyone had a chance to respond, the Super Skrull entered the passenger cabin and addressed the Avengers. "We will be arriving at the homeworld of the Kree in fewer than 5 of your minutes. It is the despotic Kree who activated the planetary shield around your planet. It is they, too, who have captured your allies."
The Avengers remained silent, suspicious of the Skrull's intentions and waiting to hear the Super Skrull's next words. With eight pairs of eyes trained on him, Kl'rt continued, "The Kree, in their arrogance, have also oppressed my people for centuries. We will attempt to reach the…"
The Super Skrull didn't finish his sentence. The ship suddenly shook violently, as if it had struck an iceberg. Kl'rt yelled into his communicator in a language the Avengers did not understand; a curt response followed.
"It is the accursed Kree," the Super Skrull spat. "They have attacked our vessel. Prepare yourselves!" He gestured toward a container as another heavy explosion rocked the ship. The Super Skrull's arm stretched out several meters, opened the container, and pulled out a pressurized suit that had a small jet-pack attached. His arm curled around and brought the suit to Ant-Man. "Put these on!"
As the other Avengers hurried to don the space-suits, Iron Man, who did not require such a suit, peeked out the ship's portholes. He commented on what he saw, "There are a bunch of ships out there. I think we're in trouble."
<BWOOM> The Avengers had just managed to put on the space-suits when another heavy explosion sent them hurtling across the expansive cabin. Suddenly, a whoosh of wind could be heard, as the pressurized air inside the ship was being sucked out of a breach in the ship's hull.
"Quickly," shouted Ant-Man, "get out of here before the whole ship explodes!" The Avengers leapt out of the gaping hole in the ship's wall and into the weightlessness of space… it was an unsettling feeling to be certain.
The skrulls were already outside. Super-Skrull's voice came through the helmet's headsets. <The Kree's weapons will not be able to lock onto us. They'll send the zero-G troopers after us, and then we will cut them down like grass. Avengers, you protect our flanks. We skrulls will take the brunt of the assault.>
<Roger that>. Ant-man replied. He spotted a large contingent of Kree moving through the debris towards them. <Uh...Super-Skrull? It looks like there's a lot coming around this way...> But the skrulls were already immersed in battle the other direction. <I guess it's up to us then. Avengers Assemble!>
* The man inside this Iron Man suit only recently joined the Avengers West Coast as the successor of the first Iron Man, whom the world believes dead after the explosion that killed Obadiah Stane, also known as Iron Monger (see WCA #15 of May, 2007).

Christ did not come to condemn the world, but to save it.
Just re-checked your totals, and it is the V Hawkeye, not the E (or U )
I'd play you, but I want to try and play all of the Marvel players at least once before I start doubling up (and besides, I just finished using a very similar team against Vance, and I enjoy variety).

My thinking was a little messed up, but the 60-point version of Hawkeye is the E Hawkeye version from Ultimates. That's the one i meant. (That's the only version of Hawkeye that has exactly 60 points.)
With that Initiative roll of yours, VKing, i would have first chosen sides, but in the interest of alacrity, let's just keep moving. I don't really have a preference anyway.
One more thing: as all of the Heavy Objects are Special Objects (Meteorites), they have to be placed 5 or more squares from all starting areas, so you'll need to re-place your two HOs... when you do, then i'll make my first move...

"We're outnumbered, Avengers," shouted Moon Knight. "Set up a defensive perimeter. Hawkeye, Iron Man -- you're our big guns; stay hidden until they show their hand."
Dr Hank Pym was impressed. He had almost by default fallen into a sort of leadership role since Iron Man -- the old Iron Man -- had gone rogue during the Armor Wars. It was almost a relief not to have to issue orders. Moreover, Moon Knight seemd to possess the carriage of a military man. The Avengers knew so little about Moon Knight... but those considerations would have to wait. The Kree were approaching!...
(most of these are 'free' TA moves...)
