CD #7 - Rated 5 - So they figure out they arent onthe right earth and for some reason the JLA attacks them, which was odd in my opinion. Reeked of the cliched "due to a misunderstanding the heroes fight". Plus the luckily appear near a CAdmus secret lab... which Jimmy (who split off them earlier) also knew about and figured they would go there so he went there to wait! And OMG Karate Kid is dying! Gawd shut up Duo Girl! Im glad he finally croaked at the end maybe she will stop whining.
Wonder Woman #18 - Rated 9 - Diana goes to the hospital to visit Nemesis and informs him that she is going to start courting him. Go Nemesis get you some hot Amazon love! Some aliens then arrive and wisk her away to help save thier planet. And btw the young female aliens mtv-ish stuff was hilarious. Diana agrees to help and her and Candy track down one of the invaders ships and finds a Green Lantern. Hhhmm great stuff.
Booster Gold #7 - Rated 8 - Rated 8 - Its sad to know that Beetle while eventually die again. The book isnt called Blue and Gold you see. Anyways they flee from the OMACs and learn whats up. the eventually get rescueed by Green Arrow and Hawkman. Mwanhile, Boosters dad and the future Beetle meet up and go to meet other villians! So yea "Black Beetle" is bad and this is all apart of some plan.
GA & BC #6 - Rated 7 - Wow what a fast issue. Action action action. The group is trying to track downa stealth craft they think was used to shoot Conner. As they stake out a place they are attacked by a flighing craft and shoot it down. Inside... aliens. Fun read just FAST.
I picked up Salvation Run, Bat Lash and Suicide Squad this week.
Salvation Run continues to not make any damn sense whatsoever, but I enjoy the freedom from continuity sometimes - and that's what Salvation Run is. Don't bother trying to understand where it fits in with other books, just enjoy the villains kicking the carp out of each other. In that respect, it continues to deliver. Luthor and Joker have another battle, Martian Manhunter gets beaten to a pulp, Vandal Savage's ladies figure out that his paradise isn't quite what they were thinking, and Apokalips decides to use the villains for target practice.
Bat Lash...sadly is not quite what I remember liking Bat Lash for. This month's book was a bit more serious than I've come to expect for his character, so it was a little disappointing in that respect. Otherwise, though, it was a pretty good read.
Suicide Squad was great! Aah! The General's sub-team starts beating the heck out of the rest of the squad, and the "good guys" get a little ground back when Faraday (yay! I liked him, I'm glad to see he's not dead) gets rid of the annoying techie. Some Squadders die, Deadshot may be screwed, and Rick Flag is as crazy as ever. Fantastic!

Wonder Woman was okay. The art changed and for some reason I also felt the tone/speaking seemed different as well.
Booster Gold was another good issue. Seeing alternate histories is neat. Batman's cutaway scene, Black Adam's scene, and Hawkman still alive ! I just wish they'd mention how the Alex Luthor, SBP , and Earth 2 Supes view of the new "reality" created by Max Lord.
Legion of Super-Heroes in the 31st Century - Timber Wolf spends the day on his own instead of joining the rest of the team being honored by the president. When he uncovers a plot to take out the other Legionnaires, his day gets a whole lot more interesting.
Countdown to Mystery - Dr. Fate learns about the existence of the original, but finds himself even more doubtful of his abilities than before. A trip through Hell fighting the JSA doesn't help his confidence all that much. I'm really saddened that we lost Gerber, and I'm not sure how I'll feel about someone else finishing what has been an excellent story.
Booster Gold #7 The consequences of Booster's saving Ted come home to roost as the Blue and Gold find themselves in a world ruled by Max Lord. Meanwhile the "Time Stealers" prepare for the next step in their plan , while Rip tries to set things right.
Suicide Squad #7 I still don't get how Waller didn't see it coming, but other than that it was a great issue, with double crosses galore and Deadshot about to prove why he's one bad dude.

I don't know if you've been reading Jonah Hex (which I highly recommend) but Bat Lash has popped up in it a few times and been a treat. I was very much anticipating this series and while I've a lot of catch-up reading to do, made a point of moving these "up the stack"...sadly, I'm afraid I have to agree with you that something's just not right here. It could be because this is a bit of a "Bat Lash: Half-Year One" story. Not saying it's a bad read...it's just not giving me the fun joy that I expect from a Bat Lash tale.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

Yeah, I've been reading Jonah Hex - well, I'm reading it in trades. I picked up the first one, Face Full of Violence, on your reccomendation - remember?
I have to agree with you that the Bat Lash shown in Jonah Hex is more...well, Bat Lash-y. Hopefully the Bat Lash mini proves successful enough for them to make more (and more fun) Bat Lash stories, though.

How does it not make sense?
The villains are stranded on a planet. Three of them (Joker, Luthor, and Vandal) are trying to assume control and have split the villains into three factions. Vandal has taken this opportunity to to begin his own paradise, while Jker's group has defected from the main one, which Luthor leads. Joker however, has realized that Luthor will be the one to get them back to earth, so he's not ready to kill him just yet. However, he still needs to supply for his group, so they raid Luthor's camp.
Makes sense to me.
1/6th of the Brothers Prob. '19-'20 Season: 15-13(8 events) 2 wins, 2nd XDPS PR 9-7, 7th SOC

It makes perfect sense as a self-contained series. It doesn't make sense within the context of the current DCU, since plenty of villains are in it and also in other books.

I just consider it after Gotham Underground and JLA. Speaking of GU, it was pretty weird this week, what with all the wannabe villains. The female Bane looked creepy, and not in a good way.
Oh, and Nightwing got shot in the torso, so thats no good. But its another one of those things that doesn't fit.
Isn't there a group of villians that sought sanctuary in the Justice League because they didn't want to get shipped off?
Yes. The Key was leading them, but I don't remember the whole group off the top of my head. Maybe somebody who is not quite as lazy as me can check their issues to see who else is in that group.

The only villains named in the issue are:
Blind Faith
The Key
Dr. Polaris
Backlash
Star Shrike
Honougan
I don't recognize any of the others.

AND DEATH’S A BIT TOO MUCH.

I'm more with NeoShazam on this one. I didn't care for the art much at all. Seemed fine with the technological stuff, but the humans definitely seemed off, especially Diana. But maybe that just comes from following the Dodsen's. And the writing certainly seemed different as well. I had to double-check to make sure it wasn't a fill-in instead of Gail. And I found the young female alien more annoying than hilarious.
The possible saving grace to the whole issue was the appearance of a Green Lantern. That came from nowhere.
I'm hoping it was just a hiccup as I really enjoyed the first arc with Gail and I really want to see a good Wonder Woman continue.
