Of those, the only thing I read was Amazons Attack! That was an excellent read and I would highly recommend it. The art was exceptional as well.

Superman and Batman I am about an arc behind right now (maybe 2). I don't think the series has been terrible per se. In the beeginning, it was great clear through the Supergirl arc. When Loeb's son passed, you could tell it affected his writing as the series started to decline. The issue dedicated to his son was great. So I would say-proceed with caution.

Brave and the bold I don't know, I don't read this.

Countdown series I don't think this is bad or good, it's just there. Some things have been dragged out beyond the point of caring. If you are looking for another 52, this isn't it. But it is OK and has some good stuff from time to time.

Amazons attack This was Ok and I thought the art was terrible.

Flash-fastest man alive Still trying to collect 7-13 (minus the death issue). The first six were pretty good. I just couln't get into Bart being the Flash.

Nightwing I've only read Year 1 and it was mediocre.

Batman Confidential I'm not up on the current arc, but the Joker arc was Awesome IMHO. I've enjoyed this quite a bit.

The first few arcs of JSA:Classified were good (Power Girl, the arc focused on the villains, some others I'm blanking on right now), but it soon got not so good in my mind.
The GL/Vandal Savage arc was good, but seemed to drag out a bit. There was an excellent Jakeem Thunder arc that appeared, but I don't remember the issue numbers.
It's kind of tough, but it's basically a coin flip on if the arc is good or not. As such, I kind of gave up on the whole process.

Superman and Batman I don't read this on a regular basis but when I do read a copy it's always has been good.
Brave and the bold I pull this title and except of the last issue this title has been great.
Countdown series Some people hate it some love it. I pull it and I don't mind it so much.
Amazons attack Mini that I didn't grab
Flash-fastest man alive Ended but I did get the run and liked the series
Nightwing One of the best DC books that I look forward to reading every month. I like this book alot.
Batman Confidential Sorry.... don't read this one but have heard both good and bad things.

Get the Flash written by Johns, and Braved and the Bold if you want to spend more money. The rest I don't feel are worth it.

I finally found an inssue of Brave and the Bold to pick up. #11 with Superman and Ultraman!

Superman and Batman - Early arcs the best (and available in trades), but the more recent are still decent.

Brave and the bold - Definitely check this out, strong story & art.

Countdown series - Has some moments, but you'll sift through many, many issues where NOTHING happens.

Amazons attack - The worst of the worst, check out DC's WW message board for how awful this is (continuity and character representation trainwreck).

Flash-fastest man alive - Ultimately boring compared with the Johns run (available in trades).

Nightwing - Current arc with Tomasi is very enjoyable!

Batman Confidential - Nothing to crow about.

what's the title of John's run on flash?

I think it's just called The Flash. Multiple books (it was a long run) featuring Wally West as opposed to Bart Allen. Check it out on Amazon for a rundown of the Johns books (not all are still available, however, and one has been updated and reissued). I picked up 3 of them and wasn't disappointed in the least.

You can also get a list of titles on the DC Comics website. Choose the Graphic Novels tab and then DC Comics. You'll find the Johns books and some Mark Waid as well (Waid pre-dated Johns on the title).

John's run on The Flash started on issue 167 (I believe) and ended with issue #225, the issue which ended the Rogue's War storyline.

just finished Amazons attack. frankly i didn't really like it cause everything happened so fast without really establishing the cause of everything. what happens next in these series?

Brave and the Bold are good reads.

Superman & Batman--my favorite read now, great read and art. plus the interaction of World's finest are cool

also how about the ressurection of Ra's al ghul? outsiders five of a kind?
