CD #6 - Rated 5 - Blah blah we fast forward. Teh virus gets loose and the world goes to poop. GL takes off into space to find alien help not knoing he's spreading the super virus as well. Boo hoo. Best part of the issue: Karate Kid still dead. And Una has finally stopped whining.
BoP #116 - Rated 7 - I miss Gail. Anyways Zinda is being mindcontrlled and fights Huntrss. King Shark (really his grandson) finds a hidden treasure. Zinda snaps out of it and her and Huntress win the day. Meanwhile, Black Alice gets ticked and leaves again SIGH but Oracle has a tip on where to have Manhunter search. Turns out a geeky guy (thus explaining the why of the transformer thing) can make magic construct things.
Batman and the Outsiders #5 - Rated 8 - Lots of good snarky humor for GA. And woohoo Sue and Ralph are back! they are spirits like Deadman and possess people. ThoughI have to wonder why they didnt possess the leader guy and turn off the rocket launch... but whatever.

If Gail isn't writing the book, then why is her name on the cover?

I keep getting the feeling no one at DC cares about Countdown anymore and they're just eeking it out to get it done so they can get on to Final Crisis.

The Programme #9 - Max's conflict with the Russian Dolls leads to innocent casualties, leaving him conflicted and demoralised. The CIA meanwhile starts using every dirty trick they can to get him back in the game. Senator Joe, meanwhile, proves to be a pivotal player in the race war playing out in the South, causing the government to re-evaluate which is their bigger threat, the Dolls' invasion or the impending civil war? This series is really picking up steam. It's criminal it doesn't get more exposure.
Brave and the Bold #11 - I love Ultraman, and his interactions with Superman are usually great, but after a promising start this issue fizzles. I don't know what it is about Waid on this title, but every pairing that I think should be a home run (Power Girl and Wonder Woman, Ultraman and Superman, Batman and the Legion) just doesn't do it for me. I'll be back for Deadman/Green Arrow and hope it picks up.

I liked the Batman-Legion team-up, specially the interaction of Bats with Brainy.

Heh, I read your reviews every week and it seems like veery week this title gets panned... and then some. I can't tell you how many times you've said "this is my last issue" only to see a write-up of it the next week.
So what is it about COuntdown that keeps you buying if it's so bad?
coming soon : nu52 Hercules

Yeah the current story is a bit.. off. But I still like me some good chick fights. It's like Nightwing, I'll stick through the bad because when it's good, it's really good.

I'd give it a 7. It was okay, the clark interaction and ultra- Mr. Mxy was cool. Big fight coming next issue. It not great stuff but its okay, I feel it delivers more on a per issue basis than the aforementioned Countdown, which I dropped after week 35. Big fight next issue.
