Melkhor's Amazing Army: Turn 1

"I REALLY don't like this one bit!" Ollie complains loudly. "Not only am I being drafted into the service of the jackbooted military-industrialist complex against my will, but I'm also going to be fighting alongside THAT!" The exasperated hero points a finger at the towering android hovering motionlessly next to him.

"What the hell are you neo-conservative clowns in Washington even thinking re-activating AMAZO? What makes you think you can even begin to control that thing, and what makes you think it's a good idea to bring someone who used to be with the Justice League, you know, the group he's bloody programmed to DESTROY, close to him?" Ollie throws his hands into the air in frustration. "Can you even count the number of things that could go wrong with this set-up, and more importantly, do you even care?"

Rock calmly looks at Ollie and puts out his cigarette. "You about done there son?" Not waiting for a response from the fiery archer he continues. "Ever heard the expression *War makes strange bed-fellows*? I should know better than most. Fact of the matter is, that the guy dressed like an elf and with a beard like Santa is major bad news. So bad, in fact, that the president himself has authorized the re-activation and deployment of Amazo there. Guess he figured it takes an elf to beat an elf or something." Rock grins without much mirth before continuing.

"And you're here because you're the only Leaguer we could get on such short notice, and because we figure you might have something in that quiver of yours that can deal with our pointy-eared friend if anything starts going south. But until then, we pull together and kick those invaders out of this museum and back to their own time!"

1) "Targets aquired, assessing primary threat!" Amazo suddenly springs to life, picks up Ollie by the collar and flies off with the speed of the Flash, picking up a heavy steel crate on his way with Superman's strength. Amazo flies to D17, picking up the HO in front of him on his way along with Green Arrow. Ollie is placed in D16

2) "Wait up son, these old legs aren't as spry as they used to be!" Rock sprints to catch up, running to C17

The shimmering teleportation effect ends abruptly, leaving a group of figures standing in the JSA Museum.

"Perfect! My spell has delivered us directly into the base of the Justice Society! Now, to claim the artifacts I need to proceed with my plan." Mordru glances around, his finely tuned mystical senses registering the presence of others. "Quickly, my assembled minions! We must dispatch these witnesses before they ruin everything! The one in green... I sense that he has been in proximity to a Green Lantern's ring. Such a bauble would make my task much easier. Fetch it for me!"

The Manhunter's sensors suddenly glow a little brighter. "Confirmed residual Green Lantern energy signature. Destroy!"

1) Fatality picks up her latest employer and carries him to A-5, landing in B-5. "This had better be worth my while, old man," she mutters.

2) The ensorcelled Live Wire flies compliantly after them, carrying the equally enspelled Easy Company Medic. Live Wire lands in C-5, dropping the medic in B-4.

3) "No man escapes the Manhunters!" The Manhunter flies over to C-4
