Can I eat immobile objects?

You can Nanobots any object.

You can even Nanobot the Dark Cauldren... you just don't get healed from it, IIRC.

No, you can use Nanobots, even it it doesn't heal. You can be on your first click and still use Nanobots (as long as you have 2 damage or less). Black Cauldren says that you can't heal, not that you can't try to heal

I would argue that you can't just ignore a portion of the card, and use the other part. You can't just not heal, but remove an object. for the same reason you can't ignore damage, but not put a token on someone when using Protected.
