Hey, just a few questions on when to apply pushing damage that I need cleared up by the sagastic rulemasters out there ^_^
1) I was playing a Theme Team and used Wiccan to Theme Team PC an ally on an attack roll. Wiccan already had an action token on him at the time. Because Wiccan was on his first click, the pushing damage from the token received for the PC would put him on his 2nd click, upon which he has PC himself. When does Wiccan take the pushing damage from the Theme Team PC? Is it after the entire attack sequence involving the other 2 figs is complete or is it applied instantly? Essentially what I am asking is if the pushing damage is applied instantly, can Wiccan then use his own PC on the same attack roll if I needed to? We ruled that he couldn't, but had no real reason why. PC is a kind of grey area in terms of timing as Wiccan is not initiating the action himself. Any clarification would be much appreciated ^_^
2) Flurry and Pushing. If I push a character to flurry attack, do I take the pushing damage after the first attack or 2nd? If I do indeed take it after the first click I could potentially be pushed off of flurry and have to stop my attack there I am guessing.
3) Flurry and Mystics. When a character flurries a fig w/ Mystics TA, when do I take the Mystics damage? After the first attack resolves from the flurry or the 2nd? Again, worried about getting bumped off of flurry.
4) HSS and Mystics. If Kid Flash runs through a wall and punches someone with Mystics and hits, when does he take the damage? If he is on his last click of his white move power that gives him HSS and takes the damage right when he hits the Mystics fig, does he stop there or does he not take the damage until after he completes his HSS move?
Thanks so much for your help, I hope these questions aren't too mind-numbingly basic ^_^
Pushing damage is the last thing to happen in an action... it's after all other dial aspects are clicked, any Mystics feedback damage is taken, any healing from TAs/powers, etc, etc.
Mystics is taken after the damage is taken by the Mystic... in other words, you click the Mystic, then you click the attacker, then you do anything else (including finishing movement from HSS... if they lose the power or their speed is reduced, you go by the new stat).
Does that help?
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
1) You take the damage after the action is completed.
2) Pushing damage is after the second attack so no worry about losing flurry until after.
3) Damage is taken after each attack that deals damage so you attack 1st time and if you hit you take a click then if you still have flurry u get your 2nd and if you hit there you take another click
4) Damage is taken right away you so you could lose HSS and end up stopping right where you attacked from
Excellent, thanks both of you for quick responses. I feel that you answered my questions very clearly. My group is new and we just started really using Theme Teams and Mystics w/ WC figs so these issues presented themselves over the weekend.
