I still think that Brilliant Tactician costs more than its worth. With the new 10% cap on feats, you also pay the opportunity cost of using up most of your feat allotment.
I dont think the timing is right but darkseid cant use nanobots with his omega effects option 3 right? Right?
Darkseid cannot be assigned Nanobots as he doesn't meet the prerequisites - he doesn't have a single click of 2 damage or less.
Even if he could be assigned the feat he could not use it mid-action though.
Shellheaded Green Scar and Crisis Darkseid, anyone?
I do love the new variety of Pouncers that we have now. Trick Shot, Camouflage Apocalypse is superb -- Apoc, the 278 point sniper. Camouflage also lets Crisis Green Arrow keep Stealth a little bit longer -- at least I think it does, even though he can only use Shape Change under the limited circumstance of being attacked from range by a figure with an action token on.
I am glad special powers can now meet pre-reqs for feats - however it is looking like it's going to cause more questions/headaches than I originally thought
Contingency Plan will be even more ubiquitous than it already is. The number of Brilliant Tacticians has doubled. I suppose what frightens me is that this will be much more about power gaming than it is about "neat" combos.
Don't get me wrong, increased number of qualified Bril. Tacticians is a good thing. Increased number of qualified Contingency Planners is bad (a lot of Special powers we've seen include Mastermind or Leadership), in my opinion. Chief is even more ridiculous... slap both on him. 95 points of crazy support!
(Disclaimer: I do not necessarily consider this a wise point investment, particularly with 10% rule, but it sure would be entertaining)

Well you will only be able to put of them on him in a 400+ point game. Doesn't fit in 300

Also true. I did not consider that. I do think Contingency Plan shows up on Chief with frequency, considering he doesn't need LoF to Manipulate or use Contingency Tokens.

This could create many crazy questions.
I thought is was good that special powers couldn't have feats. It helped older figures or figures without special powers.
I think the biggest cards used might be Stunning Blow and Armor piercing. I know AP is already popular but characters who have EE as a special power couldn't use it as effectively.
Well, what this rules change has done is gotten rid of the whole possess vs use debacle. Now all you have to do is ask "Can figure Y use power X?" If the answer is yes, then slap the feat on, if the answer is no, then your still SOL.
